I think this would be a really nice feature.
You can allready import gpx route files to your online account, but cant download them to your phone. I think its a little strange you can't do that.
I really hope they add this feature soon!
For as long as the downloading is not an option, I believe we can e-mail the dat files. (or post them to our private blogs etc). It should be a simple matter of copying the file in the Sports Tracker directory on the handset.
Haven't tried, but see no reason why it wouldn't work. Downloading from the dat file from NTS is a million times more convenient, and a trivial matter to implement, so I hope UR listening, Nokia ;)
Is there a way to convert excisting track/route files (like *.gpx *.kml) to a .dat file? I have a lot of routes from an old gps device and would like to import them into sportstracker.
Offcourse importing directly into sportstracker is a lot easier, let's hope they implement that soon!
There is a wonderful little app for Mac users called, LoadMyTracks by ClueTrust software, which quickly handles all sorts of GPS file conversions.
I believe NST's DAT files are written in proprietary code. So, I don't know how much use they are on their own nor if converting them is possible.
Adding a NST workout's DAT file from any other user to the first level SportsTracker directory on your ext memory drive will automatically make that workout show in "Training dairy".

Will this not generate a ghost user profile?

Hi there M,
Have you isolated the ghost user creation? Just curious because a ghost user materialized on my mobile when I upgraded to v2.05. I never had one before and furthermore, all my workouts were performed under a single user.
I tried everything as we previously discussed in another thread to remove the ghost, but nothing worked. In any event, the presence of this ghost user seems to have absolutely no affect on anything else.
Funny also that in Settings>Users, users is plural with no way of adding (or removing) users.

Ghost user creation appears to be a result of a broken link between the user relationship for the workouts created on the previous version of Sports Tracker. ie It does not see the past workouts as having been generated by the present user in NST. If we knew more about the format of the Workout files and how user data is held within we would be able to possibly correct this. More than one user (on the phone) can be linked to the same user (profile) on the NST website so the Ghost user is more of an annoyance than a hinderance. You can change the properties of the ghost user and the present user and see the workout users change respectively. The NST config file will show that there are two users but deleting from here does not appear to make any difference as as soon as you restart NSt it sees teh old workouts in the "SportsTracker" folder and recreates the Ghost user, even if boths users had been modified to have identical details.

Argghh! I attempted editing line 2 of CONFIG to eliminate the ghost and now I have three users. Perfect.
Curious to see what happens when I import to my new N79. (btw-no word on delivery)

The third one is rectifiable. I just need to remember how I sorted it out on mine.

@mbrett, I wish I could say I whittled my user count down to one by editing line 2 of Config, but I can't.
I used an old backup of Config (prior to finding/generating ghosts) to get back to a single user.
Line 2 is somehow dependent on line 1 which changes when line two does.
I suppose this info isn't so useful for users without backups, but it does suggest that Config's data is independent (when correct).
