Is anyway to configure the interval time to store data?
NST stores every second...
If we do a 3-hour session, this is 3600*3=10800 points stores... it's not heavy size for my phone, because i stored in a 4GB MicroSD, and it's not so high to Google Earth....

But did you ever try to show in a Google Maps?

I know exactly what you're talking about and unfortunately there is no current option to change recording intervals.

I have on my phone four other GPS tracking apps, three of which allow the options you are asking about. One even lets me choose custom recording intervals. I'm not going to mention their names but they are all S60 apps and all work very well. None of them offer the web service and user experience that NST does, however.

There are a few applications which give you manual access to delete sample data of GPX and KML outputs. Though this feature is provided mostly for removing erroneous data. For everyone else reading this, a single "sample" is a set of positioning data, time stamps and any other metrics the tracking program is recording. Whatever the tracking program's recording intervals are, so goes the number of data samples. In NST's case, it can be a lot as it records a sample every second.

SportTracks for PC users and TrackRunner for Mac users have the sample editing feature i mentioned.

So, feasible? Certainly, I like the idea and hope to see the option future builds..

If you export the track as GPX and transfer it to a Windows PC you can strip out what I believe to be unnecessary data not required when importing into 3rd party apps, see below:

Copy and paste everything between the hashes into notepad and save to the same folder as all of your exported .GPX files with a .cmd or .bat extension, by default this will be the "My Documents\Bluetooth\inbox" folder if you Bluetooth it across.

I called mine "trimgpx.cmd"

First at all, thank you for the responses.
alunklrodgers , it's a good tool, but doing this i have the same number of point in the track and the same complexity drawing by google api's....

I'm a Mathematican and a J2EE architect, and combining my knows, experience, .... i find that the best solution is to have an option to set the interval in NST ....

I don't want that the user have to lost time taking the tracking, editing, looking if is good...
Only send to the admin web, and tha'ts all...

Sometimes in the design of the application server side (http://club.bicisprint.com/mapes), i find that perhaps that i can erase the half of the points (the odd points, or the even points..), but every point is important....
Think in a point that was the highest speed point or the most elevation point, if you erase this point, your tracking route is not the same....
I know that if you set your interval more than a second, you lost points too, but NTS only use these to know how many points store on the session, but use all the points to the other operations: average, speed....

Some other server side applications does a "cut" approach to solve these problems:
for example in www.bikemap.net: to calculate the elevation profile or the ascension accumulative distance, they use only a 10% of the points....

Yes and no....

Every operation with GPS data has an error, because in every point perhaps you have a 100 meters error ....
It's easy to test these... i compare my last distance session with Polar S725X (46,1 km) and NST (45,41 km).... one is the most perfect and GPS calculate the distance with the mathematical formula to know the distance over two geographical poins over a perfect sphere....

In summary, we are only playing.....
