Is it possible to disable the GPS feature when using Sportstracker?
I am using the N79 Active for cycling/skiing/walking, but when I do a workout at gym all I need is the heart rate feature and don't need the rest of the info as you are stationary i.e. on a treadmill?
As silly as this 'feature' might be, I think it would be a great option. The GPS will eat up the battery while it's on, even if it's not seeing anything. Also, there's times when I want the features of sports tracker (uploading / pedometer) but I have no GPS signal.
That would be great. A "offline mode" for the the gym, with gps disabled. Only step counter and heart rate monitoring. Loved using step counter on the treadmill. Could be implemented under activities.

For Gym based activities
Menu, Settings, General, Positioning, Positioning methods, Untick any (but remember them)
After Gym based activities
Menu, Settings, General, Positioning, Positioning methods, Tick all from before (A-GPS and Integrated)
Not ideal but should stop it burning juice while you burn the calories....
