It has been availeble in a great number of internetshops in Norway as well as physical stores for a few weeks...

The German Nokia store just changed the availability date for the N79 Active from the 20th April to the 15th June.

I wonder what they tell all the people who ordered in April and have been waiting for an month now. They told me to order it without committing to some kind of delivery date.

I hope Sony or Samsung come up with something similar soon to give Nokia a bit of a kick in the butt :-)

Strange that you found it without the complete Active pack. I am in Germany (Cologne) next week and I will have a look if I can find it anywhere.

My guess is that we will have a lot longer here in Spain :-(

This is getting ridiculous, it has now changed from March to April to June to July. What makes them believe that this makes any sense?

I will have to find someone in Finland, Sweden or South Africa to get me one.

If Nokia made some statement about selling the belt (and headphone and case) separate, I would just go ahead and order a N79 now.

Very silly. I will also have a look at the Sony W995 again, that was my first choice before I heard about the N79 Active.

hehe... The Season is finished than! I think Nokia+Polar don't want to sell those activity gatgets. Maybe they have quality problems with Sportstracker (is still Beta and selling a beta product is not a nice thing...) or the belt. And, maybe, polar don't want to poach in his own sales market. From the beginning I asked myself why Polar do this! Everyone who has got a N79 active will not buy an heartrate monitor... For Nokia it is stilel an advantage, because no other phone on the market could do this at the moment.

I think Polar is working on a bluetooth watch with bluetooth strap. An if you will buy this product set, you could choose using it with Sportstracker (on everey Sportstracker compatible phone) and/or your Polar watch.

Also, I think, that the N79 ist less atractive now. This modell is at the and of his life!

It is possible to buy the N79 Active in Denmark, but not with through a phone company so it is a bit more expensive

The German Nokia Shop removed the N79 Active from the site.

I ordered one through a friend from the UK Shop, hopefully I will get it end of this or next week.

Yes, they are rubbish. I had email conversations with them too. It usually went like: "Yes, it will be available, why not order it now?" That was in May.

As it is available in the UK now, you can find them sometimes on ebay.co.uk , though usually they don't want to post to the rest of Europe.
