Hi, I get no charts while importing .gpx files to the online service.
No charts are displayed even when the gpx is generated by nokia sports tracker on my mobile.
can this be fixed somehow by editing gpx file, or we have to wait till the service gets new functionality?
Nobody bothered to comment on this when I wrote about the same thing.
Actually I wouldn't need this option at all if it would be possible to edit the workouts right on your phone before uploading it.
My problem is, that after doing my exercise, I step into my car and drive home. And every now and then I forget to stop the workout. So you can imagine how it looks like. ;-)
The data files on the Nokia seems to be in a some kind pf proprietary binary format, but somebody with the needed symbian skill could make a little program to deal with this?
Or If you could import kml-files to you phone, then I could export them, edit them and import them back and then upload them to the service.
Please? Something??

This morning i ha ve 2 crash of my phone during my exercice.
I reopen 3 times the program.
So i would like to put together the 3 tracks in one event.
A solution is put together the 3 tracks with another progrme and the mport with nokia sports traker website.
I import, but the track don't see.
Why?

i guess we'd need to know what's the data format in the .dat files to edit them.
Opening them with text editor I just noticed repeated sequences of different signs, when I tried to convert bits of file from the middle to decimal i noticed fragments looking similar to height or lat/lon of my recent trip, but i'm still unable to guess the rest.
i described that problem on my favourite nerds' forum. they'll surely at least think seriously about it.
I tried to upload a bunch of gpx files to the NST site, but all I get is the genaral data like workout distance, length, pace, max speed, but NO TRACK.
I get those workouts by converting .kmz files (google earth) to gpx on www.gpsvisualizer.com
It used to work in the past, but not any more.
Any ideas?
Many people have the same problem with importing GPX files to NST service, but Nokia are deaf for our request... That's why I was change GPS service for uploading my tracks...
@piotreeek is on the right track with the problem you all are trying to get around here.
NST houses all the details of your workout within the .DAT files, written in proprietary code.
If you choose to export the workout to another format, (GPX, XML, KML or CSV), NST basically only extracts your positioning data (all of your recorded waypoints). There is other data which is left behind designed to be compatible with NST only. Conversely, when you import a GPX file, it will not contain all the necessary data to complete the NST usual experience (stats, charts, laps).
I know it's frustrating, but there's not much you can do without violating NST's EULA that you electronically signed when you created an account.

The problem is that htis method of uploading workouts used to work in the past. I generally use my N82 for workouts, but sometimes, I take my GPS receiver/tracker and I was able to extract tracks from its memory to put them on NST. Why the change?
well, i guess that we'd have to wait till the NST team introduces new functionalisty or a talented geek writes writes a .gpx to NST .dat file converter.

normaly i upload the gpx files via webinterface but i doenst ge the curve and the track on the map

if i upload my training via sporttracker application from my mobile....the curve and the other deatails will be shown!!

take your mobile...start sportstracker...
now go in "option" settings etc...and choose your connection in my case...my wlan
after you made this selection "auto update" yes....
so maybe the software is looking for an update
so....go out of this menue
open your saved workout...
now you can see your curves eg. ...so far so good...go on "options" and the upload to service...so you have to enter your username and pw from the betalabsplatform...and go!?!?!?

NST is fully functional when working from a phone.
However, I sometimes have "outside" gpx files from a separate GPS receiver. They don't show properly when imported via NST website.

Sports Tracker normal operation is Go to "Training Diary", Select a "Workout" , Select "Options" and "Upload to service". Not sure what bernh76 was describing. I've never seen or used that process before. For standard process there is no way to import external gpx into the mobile client to upload to the website.

This is not true - in the past everything was good with imported GPX data files created at others devices... Now even tracks are disappear. Please back that functionality.
I second Kuras77 on that. All of my workouts from a standalone GPS receiver (exported to gpx and imported directly to the NST website) now don't appear at all. Just the basic facts - date, time and distance.
The story. I was happy user of Nokia sports tracker for years. I used S60 phone to upload the tracks.
Now I have N900, Nokia maemo phone. It does not have Nokia sports tracker. OK. I have installed ecoach application as it allows me to track the data and save gpx file.
ecoach works as expected. Tried to upload gpx file to sports tracker and immediately got the problem which is discussed in this thread. Googled a lot and found that the only way to fix the problem is to stop to use Nokia sports tracker and to start to use mapmytracks service.
So, good bye to Nokia spoprts tracker! It was a nice experience, i have to admit. But now I can not use the service with my new Nokia phone.

I want to use a .gpx or .kml file generated by a different GPS device (such as Garmin) as a route. I wonder why it is not possible while exporting is possible... I dont need stats charts or laps just need a track that will guide... Why NOKIA?
