Today I managed to get myself a Polar Heartrate belt monitor and already connected it by BT with my Nokia N78 (sold seperatly)
But, I cannot find a version of NST which support the HRM.
So, anyone who has a working version, could you please share it with me?
I'm also interested how I can get the burned calories visible.

Well, I also have Polar belt and Nokia N79. I downloaded Sportstracker 2.06 from http://sportstracker.nokia.com/nts/main/download.do Version for N79 with Steps has HRM function and I successfully paired belt with phone.

Hmmm... when I download NST 2.06 for the N79, it doesn't show the HRM function in my N78

Unfortunately N79 is the only device with HRM support guys.

As runners up prizes for the track a heart competition earlier this year at the Sports Tracker website a number of people were sent just the BT HRM belt. I beleiev they were then asked for their IMEIs to enable compatability with their phones. This then sounds like the limitation and not the phone capability. You may need your IMEI on a list for it to be compatible.
This is just my assumption based on the knowledge available to me.

Yes its not phone capability cause im sure every symbian phone is able to pair up with a HRM belt. but nokia wants to sell the N79s so there should be a reason for customers to buy that phone. this can be a good reason.:))
according to mbrett's assumption this can be done only with a special version of NST that includes the IMEI's of the winners.
I think NST checks the IMEI of the phone when its installed and if its a N79 it will enable HRM support.

I don't think so, because David from Stockholm just downloaded the NST version for the N79 on the NST site and that worked for him.
David has an N79 Active bundle , which he won for coming first in the Track A Heart competition over at the Sportstracker website.
If you are saying that he got it working on his old phone then please reference/hyperlink to the post in which he mentions this.

No, David told me that he got his bundle without NST on it.
He just downloaded the NST version for the N79 from the NST site and now it works on his N79.
But this is what I am saying.
I beleive that the BT HRM support is limited to certain phones, possibly by either model check or IMEI check on install. In the same way as when you try to install BETA apps some will tell you that the app is not compatible with you phone. This is because a check has been done during install.
The resaon I suggest that it may be IMEI related is that the runners up in the Track A Heart competition were asked to provide their IMEI numbers to enable BT HRM support. In the case of the N79 it may just be looking for the Product Number in the same way as your phone's Product number is what Nokia Software Update uses to decide if you can have the latest firmware version on your phone.

I will soon get a N79 for testing purpose. I will share the testing results as soon as I have the phone tested.
I know there are seperate product numbers for N79 Active Edition. I tried to reflash a normal N79 to an Active Edition, to check if there was a NST on it. Sadly that wasn't the case.
I think I will reflash a N79 again and then install the NST version for the website and check....

I assume that NST is designed to check phone model or product code.

I wrote about a month ago in another thread that my polar for nokia works with my E75. I had to install the v 2.00 version from the N79 active for it to work. I tried to install the same file on my E71 and my 5500 sport, but the v 2.00 doesn't work on those devices. After installing the v 2.00 it automatically upgraded to v 2.06 which also worked with the polar for nokia. When I tried to install the v 2.06 from scratch (not upgrade from v 2.00) the polar for nokia did not work.

I thought my N79 Active came with Sportstracker already pre-installed. Was I wrong? Cause I definitely can not find it anywhere on my phone.
If that is the case, should I download a specific version of Sportstracker, that will be compatible for my Heart Rate Monitor belt, so I can get out and play with it?
If yes, from where should I download this?
I tried downloading it from http://sportstracker.nokia.com/nts/main/download.do as DariusJ mentioned above, but I couldn't load the page...

The N79 is a FP2 phone, as is the E75 while the E71 is a FP1 phone. Could it be that version 2.0 of the Sportstracker application (FP2 variant) lacks the restriction for the HR belt? That would mean that the v 2.0 could be used on any FP2 phone.
In regards to sharing thare are many possibilites, www.megaupload.com just to mention one.

this blog link says the polar hrm for nokia will work with the n95 just by copying the config.dat file from the N79/N97/5800 phone to the Sports Tracker directory on the Nokia N95 phone. I'd like to try this on my N95 8gb - is the Polar for Nokia HRM available to buy separately??
I believe it can be obtained as a spare part if you know the right people to ask. Not easy to get hold of though. Not classed as a standard product on it's own.

the hrm belt was sold at a danish site ( .dk domains) for a very short period of time which probably was the reason why this blogger has a belt.
the unfortunate news is that the store is unable to get more polar belts.
The polar's belt is sold in some chinese online stores, i got one and successfully activated the heart rate function in the NST on my 5700 by the method introduced in the blog posted in post#20

I could not find any newer information than this one on the usage of a heartbelt on the NST for non-N79 phones. So please help me with a short information on the todays status of the heartbelt-support of the e71. I've now bought this heartbelt via ebay and am not able to have the heart-frequency shown on the NST (although the device is bluetooth-wise connected to the phone).

The Polar Heart rate will work on any Nokia phone.
Replace with config.dat file in the sports tracker folder with the following one:
