Discussion: Sport Traker 3.51, where is the kml file? by Razzo1982

Hi,I recently installed sports tracker on my new nokia 5800xm, I took a MTB ride and I've uploaded the track on www.sports-tracker.com/ by phone. Now I need the Kml file to be placed in programs that I use to train, but the kml folder of phone memory is empty. How can I get the kml file of the track? I know that in the previous version of the site was the option "Download as KML file"...but now?
thx

Comment: some additional by noerthem for Discussion: Sportstracker dat specification

some additional information:

0x02 or 0x03 means 23 byte field:

first 4 bytes total time
byte 5 to 8 total lat
byte 9 to 12 total lon
byte 13 and 14 total alt

in the 11 or 12 byte field is the first byte the time difference of two points

I put a example of getting the data from the csv file and the dat file
http://yfrog.com/3tconvertrp

after scaling time and alt are the same from dat and csv but in lat and lon there is an offset. which is shown in the plot.

Comment: Sorry, but this is ont by mbrett for Discussion: Importing KML file in Sports-Tracker ??

Sorry, but this is ont possible. You can only import to the website. The mobile client only shows routes created on the mobile client.

What I would suggest is to install OVI Maps and create the route there if you are road running. This way you can run whilst tracking in Sports Tracker and receive the verbal direction from OVI Maps.

Discussion: GPS accuracy when running by marbowalk

Hello,

I run with my e71 and Nokia Sport Tracker and it appears that my recorded sessions are not accurate. On the map there are offsets of 10/20 meters so the results are not good (total distance).
Is it possible to make GPS position more accurate ? or maybe record more GPS point ?

GPS filtering does not seem to be the solution.

Thanks for your answers.
Regards,
Marbo

Comment: Hi,
Reverse engineering for by bboy72 for Discussion: Sportstracker dat specification

Hi,

Reverse engineering for the single purpose of producing an interoperable program, like in this case, is legally permitted by EU and USA laws. Moreover, the (partial) information was gathered from normal operation of the software (i.e. by comparing original data files and using deduction) and not by decompiling or analysing the program code in any way. And we're talking about the obsolete versions of the software (not the new v3.x).

Nevertheless, I would like to know if it's possible to have a clue about Nokia's position on this specific case, as I don't see any convenience in even risking to get someone upset. Anyone from the staff can help?

And of course the best thing of all would still be to get the Route Import functionality finally added to Sports Tracker :-)

Comment: Hi guys, I think I got by bagi.laci for Discussion: 5800 doesnt upload workout to the Nokia Sports Tracker web service

Hi guys, I think I got that.

Before you start uploading to service, go to sports tracker -> settings -> general settings -> access point, and choose the access point you want to use for uploading the workout, NO MATTER THAT YOU SELECTED IT BEFORE, just select it again.

Then go to the workout, select upload to service, and voilá. :D It works perfectly on my E66 S60.

I hope I could help. :)

Comment: Noticed the same thing. I'm by JaakkoPalokangas for Discussion: New sports tracker for e71 users?

Noticed the same thing. I'm very enthusiastic user of sports tracker and owner E71. As much as I like ST, I'm not going to buy new device just because ST does not support it but rather looking for other alternatives for tracking. Also I don't understand why new client is not supported for E71 but it is for E72. AFAIK both devices are built on S60 3.2 platform so building support for it should not be a biggie. So all E71 + ST users world wide unite and demand ST support for E71 so that is prioritised higher in their backlog.
