The charts, like altitude and speed per distance become very early during the workout so jagged and crowded that it is very hard to find any useful information. The longer the workout, the harder they are to read. They practically display random noise.
One way to see the workout, is to go to chart smoothing, and increase the value, such as 180 after riding bike for an hour. This is reset for every use of NST,and I usually don't bother playing with it, since I tend to be more occupied with the sport than my phone.
what if the charts were smoothed with a gliding average X where X is a function of time (or distance, I haven't really thought it through.)
Like in my case, instead of entering 180 for a one hour bike trip, I might have a sticking setting that I always wish to view my charts smoothed by Tx3 (180@t=60, 360@t=120 etc...) And having this setting stick would be great.
Like If I were to ride bike (ok... car ;) )over Appalachian mountains, it would be great to be able to see the mountain silhouette instead of random noise.
