I love the sports tracker but would love to have a heart rate monitor that works with my n95 and is synchronized with the Sports Tracker.
Are there any plans for one?

there is a "n79 active" package coming which will includes a polar belt. They will probably release a new version of the application as well...

Does anyone know if it is/will be possible to purchase the polar for nokia heart rate belt separately for the N79? I will soon be upgrading to the N79 but my operator does not stock the 'Active' bundle and I would really like to have the belt and armband for training with the phone. Can anyone help?
I'm as much of a super-fan of NST that one can be. But this Nokia Beta Labs Sports Tracker forum seems to get the LEAST amount of insider posts and attention of all the popular Beta Labs projects. I'm guessing that their department is stretched thin for what should be the last days of "Beta" status at NST. It would seem strange to release a new commercial product package, in the N79 Active, and base it on a beta release software/web service. What do you think?
There is no word anywhere yet regarding the "Polar for Nokia" Wear-Link heart rate monitor accessory being sold independently from the N79 Active package. However, since the press release announcing the N79 Active bundle on/about January 15, 2009, the NST team have commented that due to popular response they are considering making the heart rate belt an optional accessory outside the N79 Active bundle. No official word on dates, pricing or phone model compatibility if it was to be made available.
Word from the top has said that the "Polar for Nokia" accessory is designed to communicate only with the new version of Sports Tracker 2.0 and not with any other Polar products (watches, wrist-computers...etc.)

It would be great if a generic BT polar monitor was released. I love NST and my N85, so much so that i have stopped using my conventional polar watch but I am frustrated by all my empty heart rate fields in my work outs. Please make the best of both products generically compatible
All they need to do is mass produce and remove the product code / IMEI lock from the Sports Tracker application.
