For some reason i lost connection to internet while downloading an App. After beeing connected again to internet, Nokia Store keeps saying "Waiting for connection" and the app does not resume downloading. It is not possible to cancel it, even restarting the phone again.
Remaining pending Apps keep Queued.

Having the same issue on fresh C7. It was caused by changing network from 3G to WiFi while Store was downloading an app. Now I cannot reset it anymore. New downloads are queued.

Hi all. I managed to solve this problem. Just uninstall Nokia Store, run Software update and install "old" Ovi Store. And install again Nokia Store by replacing the Ovi Store.
I think this is what i've done. (tried several procedures)
so basiclly.... reinstall it...

For this error, somehow, the client is stuck in the waiting for connection state. This is really bad. We will provide a solution in the next release to help the user to get out from such a situation.

I also have exact same issue. I have so many apps queued up.
Even Restart is not fixing this. It wont let me download anything else now.
What is solution till next version is out? Remove and install again?

Same story but only with big size apps... Small apps download fast and OK. I am afraid problem is with the client as well as with the server too.

Hi, I'm experiencing the same problem. I started a download in an area where wifi was weak and got the "waiting for connection" message. The download has hung and remains there indefinitely, even after rebooting. I tried rogerpt's solution of uninstalling the store, but it won't let me uninstall.
So I have one app download hung in a permanent limbo. Could someone advise what I should do to kill and restart it?

same like all other am usin nokia 500 i was replacing old one with this version bt nw both rnt working . . When i am checking for software updates it is showing "500 DEVICE SOFTWARES use your pc to updates" but what to do unfortntly my pc's softwares also has been dead.

i have to confirm that it just happened. during an installation i pulled down the belle's notification bar causing the store to crash, now the app that was being downloaded keeps hanging "waiting for connection".
can't you fix both issues? i got rid of the crash using netqin deleting QT quick stuff, but after a firmware update obviously it's back. wth?
found a workaround.
Using x-plore, I saw a nameoftheapp.sis.part file.
Deleted it.
Restart store.
Can download again the app.

"Waiting for connection" issue is caused by the fact that Store has lost the sync with the QT networking layer; the device has restored the connection, but the Store is not notified.
There are couple of ways to get out from the situation.
1. If you see the download queue is stuck because of "waiting for connection", close the client. Next time when you start the client, you will see the next item in the queue starts downloading automatically and the stuck one having the download error.
2. All the unfinished items in the download queue will only be kept for 24 hours. Another way is to exit from the store and 24 hours later when starting the store you will see the download queue is cleaned up.
By the way, please make sure you have 3.24.053.

3.24.053 is worse than previous release on my E6, keep getting connection to network lost message when trying to install apps... very frustrating REALLY hope that this issue gets sorted!!! its been around for a while now...
I see the problem is being neglected by Nokia. Update check says I have the latest versions. I deleted the part file, but the Store client still shows "Waiting for Connection" except the progress bar is at zero.
The problem isn't fixed after so many version. What sort of idiot oversees Nokia Store?
The fact that the current version is a step backwards is worrying indeed, and Nokia's inability to sort this out after so many iterations is perplexing to say the least. I have heard that Nokia has dropped symbian support and that its been sub contracted to Accenture... so who knows how long symbian will be supported but I get the feeling that the sooner we leave symbian the better as "PROPER" support and updates may be on a fast decline... but who knows cos Nokia NEVER lets anyone know anything!
The download did not disappear after 24 hrs, the problem still unsolvable.

Jack, we understand your frustration. Sorry about that. Could you help do a quick test? If you close the store and change the time to two days later, and then open the store again, do you still see the stuck item?

yes, 2 days later I opened up Nokia Store again, and the installation progress bar is miraculously gone (for no reason?), so I can install a fresh copy of my app. Thanks
