Seems that the Betalabs team are winding down for Christmas hehe, very few updates in the last 2 weeks or so...nothing new for the faulty Store, Swype and others for a while now...

Throughout Beta Labs' history, the frequency of trial updates varies quite a bit. On some days we've got three things for you, on others none. That's just how it happens when you overlap the schedules of trials that have no formal connection to each other. (Because Beta Labs is not a single development organization, just a brand name.)
Anyway, I hope you noticed that Store and Live View have had updates in the last week. And Swype has already said that they are not planning for a new beta before going to Store.

THANKS, PITY THAT AGAIN THE 'NEW' APP (IN THIS CASE THE STORE APP) STOPS OTHERS WORKING...THIS SORT OF ISOLATED DEVELOPMENT APPROACH IS TEDIOUS, HOW CAN NOKIA BRING OUT APPS THAT COMPROMISE THE FUNCTIONALITY OF OTHER APPLICATIONS, THIS SORT OF THIS HAPPENS OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!! I WONDER WHAT THE NEW SWYPE (WHEN IT COMES) WILL 'BREAK'... SORRY FOR THE PESSIMISM BUT REALLY NOKIA NEEDS TO SORT OUT THIS QT THING....
Apart from the yelling capitals, I do agree with JosJCD on the frustration of all the issues the lacking backward compatibility, and weird version numbering of QT gives.
The idea of QT as a common base is great. But something really need to be straightened up there.
A bug like 4.07(3)<4.07(301)<4.07(4) should simply be stopped before going live by a professional developer.
And backward compatibility should be kept at ALL COSTS, adding alternative new functions if the old functions can not be expanded compatibly.
Issues like the above is OK if you have ten costumers that you can handle individually. But certainly not OK when they are in the billion-range.
IMHO!
hi Eske, Absolutely!!!!
