Wellness Diary Beta Update v.2.05

Thank you for your feedback on our previous beta releases! We are now happy to bring you an update of Wellness Diary Beta. Wait for an automatic update request* or go to download to update right away!

We highly appreciate your comments and feedback on this new version.

Rel 2.05 includes an enhanced First Time Use flow to help you take better advantage of included functionalities.

 

Recent changes in 2.04:

  • Better support for smartphones running Symbian Anna software
  • Enhanced functionality
  • New devices supported: Nokia E6-00, X7-00, Nokia Oro and Nokia 500

Recent changes in 2.03:

  • Facebook sharing added
  • Some changes to default sharing texts when sharing to Twitter
  • Power consumption improvements added to Step counter
  • Separation of walking and running steps under Steps monitor
  • Improved out-of-box experience: simpler and more informing out-of-box experience
  • Scheduled Tips functionality added: Wellness Diary will automatically send certain tips and recommendations based on how long the user has been using Wellness Diary. This new feature may cause you getting same tips which you have already received earlier.
  • Subscribe/unsubscribe functionality added to services: You can subscribe to /unsubscribe from using services such as Wellness Diary Tips and Wellness Diary Rewards (Found under Profile > Services)

* If you already are Wellness Diary user, you can utilize the software update functionality in your Wellness Diary to upgrade to the newest version. Wellness Diary will automatically offer you the update sometime soon or alternatively you can start the update right away by selecting Wellness Diary Settings and changing the Automatic software update status first OFF and then back ON.

Self-monitoring can double your chances of meeting your wellbeing goals

Wellness Diary is based on solid scientific evidence in the field of behavioural change management. Research has shown that self-monitoring is an effective method for improving your health behaviour. As an example, people who monitored their weight on a daily basis were considerably more successful (with almost double the success) in weight management than those monitoring themselves less often. Taking daily measurements is important. Therefore we have designed Wellness Diary to make daily self-monitoring of your wellness easy, with automatic functions and reminders, and graphical displays of your progress.

With Wellness Diary on your phone you’ll be able to monitor your health and wellness day-to-day, and make small changes to achieve your long term goals. In the near future you’ll also be able to share your progress with friends via social networks.

Get professional coaching

If you’d like coaching or expert advice, or feedback on your progress, we are happy to tell you that you’ll be able to use Wellness Diary with a variety of professional third party services in the near future. These will be wellness services like general health coaching, smoking cessation, personal training, or nutritionist support. We are currently in discussions with several partners.

In this Beta phase we’re already offering one third party Wellness service, Duodecim Electronic Health Examination and Coaching. To start using it, just click on star.duodecim.fi and fill in your health status to get started. You can also get personal feedback with this service to help assess how you are progressing.

Duodecim's service is also in a testing phase and is offered as a Beta service.
