Ovi Mail is a free consumer email account provided by Nokia. Ovi Mail works on a wide range of Nokia devices and is available online at https://mail.ovi.com. It is optimized for mobile access and provides a simple and elegant web interface.
How much does it cost to use Ovi Mail? Is this free?
Ovi Mail is a free. Data charges of your wireless carrier will apply. Your wireless carrier can provide you with cost information about its mobile data service plans.
I have an Ovi.com account? Does that mean I have an Ovi Mail account too?
If you already have an Ovi.com account, then an Ovi Mail account with the same username is reserved for you. But, you will have to manually activate the the Ovi Mail account via the device signup or webmail https://mail.ovi.com to start using the Ovi Mail email service.
Does Ovi Mail have anti-spam and anti-virus features built in?
Yes, Ovi Mail includes anti-spam and anti-virus protection to provide you a safe and secure email experience.
Does Ovi Mail use Ovi Contacts?
Ovi Mail uses its own addressbook that is separate from Ovi Contacts. We are working on integrating with Ovi Contacts and will make that available to you soon. At that point all your existing Ovi Mail contacts will be migrated to Ovi Contacts.

You can access Ovi Mail directly from your browser at https://mail.ovi.com. No additional software is required.
Ovi Mail on Nokia S60 devices
We’re building Ovi Mail sign-up support into our newest devices like the Nokia N97 and E72. For older S60 devices you can download the Ovi Mail Setup wizard or sign-up directly on the web (see above):

Note: This application is unfortunately not compatible with Nokia Messaging at this time. You can still use it to create an account but you will need to configure Nokia Messaging by entering your email address and password manually.
Ovi Mail on Nokia Series 40 devices:
No additional software is required. Simply go to your Messaging folder and sign-up for a new email address with Ovi Mail. Step-by-step instructions:
- Select "Messaging" from Menu
- Select "Options", then "Add mailbox"
- Select "No" when asked "Do you have an e-mail address you want to use on your phone?"
- The email sign-up wizard will guide you through the remaining steps
- The final step will configure your phone for use with your Ovi Mail account
Compatibility and availability
Webmail works well with standard browsers such as IE 6, IE 7, Firefox 2 and Firefox 3. The webmail version is now available in 19 languages - US English, UK English, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Malaysia, Bengali, Chinese (Simplified), Filipino (Tagalog), Finnish, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Russian, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), Thai, and Vietnamese.
Nokia Series 40 devices: Ovi Mail sign-up and access is supported on all Nokia Series 40 devices launching in 2009 and across a wide range of recently-shipped Nokia Series 40 devices including: 2323 classic, 2330 classic, 2600 classic, 2680 slide, 2630, 2760, 3555, 3600 slide, 5000, 5220 XpressMusic, 5310 XpressMusic, 5610 XpressMusic, 6267, 6300i, 6301, 6500 classic, 6500 Slide, 6555, 6600 fold, 6600 slide, 7210 Supernova, 7310, 7500 Prism, 7610 Supernova, 7900 Crystal Prism, 7900 Prism, 8800 Arte, 8800 Sapphire.
