Sync with your mobile
Synchronisation of Favourites and Collections with Maps 3.0Beta and vice versa (use in online mode, enable Internet connection). At home or on the move, your favourite routes and places are at your fingertips. Syncing Maps to your compatible Nokia mobile device allows you to access all your stored information wherever you are.
What is Ovi Maps?
Ovi Maps is an internet service where you can browse places from all over the world and save them as your favourites in your personal Ovi Maps account.
With Ovi Maps you can:
- Save your favourite places and routes (requires an Ovi account).
- Search for addresses and different points of interest, for example, restaurants, hospitals, and airports.
- Discover cities and countries around the world with different views, for example, satellite or 3D views.
- Synchronise your favourite places from your compatible mobile device with the favourites in your Ovi account.
- See the weather forecast for different regions around the world.
You don’t need to download or install anything to use Ovi Maps. However, for a more complete Ovi Maps experience, we suggest installing the Ovi Maps browser plugin. You can download the plugin directly from maps.ovi.com.
System Requirements
To use Ovi Maps, you must have one of the following:
- Microsoft Windows XP: Internet Explorer 6 or 7, or Mozilla Firefox 2 or 3.
- Microsoft Windows Vista: Internet Explorer 7, or Mozilla Firefox 2 or 3.
- Macintosh MacOSX with Safari 3
The preferred browsers are Internet Explorer 7, Mozilla Firefox 3 or Safari for Macintosh.
Other browsers and operating systems are not currently supported.
