Updated version of Nokia Play To for WP8 now in Store
Fri, 2013-05-10 10:04We would like to thank those of you who participated in the beta trial of the PlayTo application for Nokia Lumia WP8-based devices. We have received a lot of feedback from many users which we appreciate – this is a service that we do for you to enjoy an improved sharing experience using Nokia Lumia devices.
We are now happy to announce that PlayTo is now available in Store. All our Lumia WP8 based devices starting from Nokia Lumia 520 to Nokia Lumia 920 are supported. From the functionality point of view, no new features are introduced, but we have fixed lot of issues compared to the beta version. However, we want to be open and frank in the communication and some issues are such that we haven’t been able to fix in the application side and will require a future firmware update – a typical example of such issue is the one related to Denon AVR and some other music receivers, so some patience is required.
Please note that PS3 is not supported in this release, nor streaming content from the cloud.
We will keep the Beta Labs forum open for comments and feedback – we would like to get more feedback about the functionality – there are lot of good suggestions already, go and vote for your favorite ones or write a new suggestion – that will give us guidance what you expect from us.
On behalf of the PlayTo Product Team,
Eero Penttinen
Lead Program Manager

New beta trial: Nokia Conference, for all Lumia phones
Mon, 2013-04-22 12:30Do you make conference calls? Then try out Nokia Conference, to join them the easy way. No more switching to the calendar app, remembering the ID/PIN codes, getting the right access number, and keying it all in. Instead just hit one button or even join via voice command (Windows Phone 8 only). It's very handy for anyone that makes frequent conference calls, as so many of us do.
On Windows Phone 8, join via voice by holding down the Windows key and speaking the command "conference join". We'll automatically figure out which meeting is going on currently or about to start, say it back to you for confirmation, and connect you. If your company uses Lync, we'll launch the Lync app to connect you. Windows Phone 7 users get the rest of the features, just no voice joining.

Feedback requested
If you find any meeting where Nokia Conference doesn't parse the ID / PIN info correctly, or have trouble getting a company's conference system(s) to work, please let us know. Open the meeting in the app and pick "send feedback" off the menu to easily email us the meeting details. For an app like this, we need your help to make sure it covers the variety of conference systems out there.
Enjoy. We hope it makes your life a little bit easier.

Lumia Storage Check beta adds map data management
Thu, 2013-04-18 10:17
Check out the new Lumia Storage Check beta app, which, like the initial version can be used to show a detailed breakdown of the phone memory usage and do something about it. We've heard people having been able to reclaim gigabytes of storage!
As before, the app will show you first an overview and then details on the second page, app details and now as a new feature, ability to manage your Maps data. The offline maps are hugely valuable when travelling and with the help of this tool, you can now store them on SD card too, vacating some phone memory.
In the beta version we are also adding some debugging to give us a better picture why it fails to start in some cases or just "spins" forever. If you have this problem, please let us know if the beta fixes the issue for you and also if it doesn't.
So, please give it a try and let us know how it works for you. The beta is provided as a stand-alone app, but it still requires a recent firmware that includes the necessary enablers.

New beta trial: Upload to SkyDrive for Nokia 5800, 5530, 5230, 5233
Thu, 2013-03-21 15:24Hi,
If you have a Nokia 5800, 5530, 5230, or 5233, you now have the chance to try out the Upload to SkyDrive app available in Nokia Beta Labs. Upload to SkyDrive keeps your images and contacts safe in the cloud, where they can be easily accessed with mobile or desktop devices. That data from the SkyDrive cloud can also be automatically transferred to a new Lumia phone.

Feedback requested
We are mostly interested in any memory capacity issues you might face during the setup as well as the application usage. How much free memory you have on C-drive before and after installing this application? Did this application impact the overall performance of your device? We'll follow up with trial members about these questions in a couple of surveys, but you're welcome to post your feedback to the forum as well.
Before installing be sure to read the software requirements and download instructions.
Many thanks,
Upload to SkyDrive team
