I have MPlayer installed on my N800 (didn’t do it myself). It plays xvid files just fine.

I’ve just downloaded Internet Tablet Video Converter v0.24 to install: as part of the install it’s trying to download a dependent MSFT Visual C++ 2005 Run time library package. I recently had to install MSFT Visual C++ 2008 libraries to support another application install. Are these two versions of libraries going to conflict with each other? I haven’t completed the Video Convertor install & won’t until I work this one out.

Anthony, as I understand it there are legal problems with supporting Xvid on actual devices. It’s technically possible but perhaps not legally possible, yet.

im pretty sure 98% of the video content people have and want to watch is avi container encoded in xvid, is anyone likely to make a device that supports this out of the box anytime ever? :/

Yay a new version to play with!

This is a very useful program. I think you guys should add support for MP4/H264/AVC files in the future, I know the majority of my files are in this format and it would be great to be able to watch them on my N810!
