We just had a cup of coffee with Ykä Huhtala and Jussi Kaasinen, the dynamic duo behind Nokia Sports Tracker. Or actually, it was a latte, as we were humbly celebrating our story being picked up by BusinessWeek in the article How Nokia Users Drive Innovation (good one!!).
This is good. The Sports Tracker success case and BusinessWeek's blessing gives our user-driven-innovation approach a truckload of credibility, hopefully facilitating the whole Nokia transformation.
Anyway, as the discussion rambled on, Ykä raised a question... Does anybody know who has created this YouTube video?
Congrats for the interview. I think it's a proof of concept..:)
Well, Iike the idea of Sports Tracker as well. It's dissapointing I don't seemt o be able to use the features of the website.
Everytime I try to log in, the site wants me to activate account everytime. It doiesn't stop there: I have uploaded every workout I have from the mobile client, but the dashboard in the actual web service claims I don't have any uploaded workouts.
I have tired to get some help, but the only way to do this seems to be a feedback form. Which I have used several times, but with no avail.

synchronies with "Polar" pulsometer watches (voice/infrared or with cooperation with polar web
The narrator sounds awfully like Jonathan Hutchins, just like in Rare Exports, Inc.

Incredible, now the web 2.0 community even produces the advertisement for the products it likes. That's a first.
I have to apologise: I just noticed, that I made an error when joining the service: by mistake I put a false e-mail address to the form, so the activation key is for another username.
CAn somebody help me getting the username unlocked, so I can apply as thebluenile with this service as well?
Hi Tommi! This video was produced as a part of N82 press site -> http://www.nokia.com/press/n82
It is also used as a TVC in Portugal. Contact me if you want to get the right contacts for this.
Thanks J-P.
LazyWeb worked again beautifully :)
One of the greatest app on S60 I have ever seen!
I am using Sports Tracker for a long time, but today, when I was reading the other blogs, I thought: I haven't said thanks to the guys of soprts tracker...
So here I am: Thank you!
The last version, with the upload and share options is great!
I am buying another phone just for this app. I have an E90 - just for work, an E50 and a N73, now I will buy a N78 or a N82 (just think about the accelerometer and step counter) for my sports activity...
Hi,
I'm using SportsTracker with N76 phone. It's really cool, displaying all the essential data I like when running. Since N76 is a clamshell model, I would appreciate showing the data (also) on the smaller cover screen, since the cover is closed most of the time. Keeping the cover open is rather inconvenient when running. Occasionally the phone chrashes after about one kilometer run, and only part of the journey can be saved later.
A friend of mine asked for "Autopäiväkirja" application; his company (or the taxman?) requires recording the path driven during the day in a diary. Leasing car users seem to have the same need. I do not have a need for such diary, but maybe quite many others would.
Tracker is a great application in any case, thank you!
