Overall I like this app, and will continue to use it.
I get a delay of 10 mins on average. The little @ notification is a bit small and can easily be over looked.
My wishlist for the ultimate email app would be:
-being able to login to a few different email accounts at the same time. ie yahoo, gmail and a pop.
- have chat integration, again allowing to be logged in to a number of differnt chat services ie msn, yahoo.
Installed really easily and works as subscribed but very feature light. I only use this with one IMAP account. Is it not possible to use this with multiple accounts?
My main email is GMail and I do use the folders quite a lot. I like to archive stuff but have no way of doing this. Also it only shows me the last few days of messages. I still need to launch the GMail app to manage my email.
Is there ever going to be HTML email support within your email apps? I don't want to have to launch the browser every time I want to read a newsletter.
@Mobilehavoc, all: No S60 3rd Ed. FP2 support yet. This seems to be consistent "feature" of latest Nokia betas, but very unfortunate one.
I want this software for my N95 8GB
I've been using this for a while and ever since installing and running, I have a lot of KERN errors. "KERN-3 ERROR" is the bane of my internet existence on my phone now. I could be using the web browser, nokia maps, or other app that uses net access and that error comes along to close the app and ruin my day. This is on an N95-1.
So heres my thoughts (e51, UK, TMobile)
1. I get updates in the minute so very good
2. Nice interface - good if I could configure alerts within it though i.e. turn off vibrate / beep
3. I prefer it to the gmail app since its faster and more reliable but obviosuly with gmail app you get threaded views and ability to search entire inbox
WHAT NOKIA SHOULD DO NEXT PLEASE ...
Provide a working integration (2-way) to google calendars please. I have tried goosynch and other but nothing provides automated synching that works 100% of the time.

I cannot seem to get my client configured to my server. We use ssl IMAP on mail.lightpole.net but email address is marcus@lightpole.net. When I try to configure the email service it never finds the correct server. Even when i give it my correct user name. is there a manual configuration option?
I'd like to use it, but can't. The configuration only allows entry of an email address and password. That's not sufficient for my account, I need to be able to provide the server addresses directly.
I downloaded and tried this out today. Setup was very easy for gmail and it synced quite nicely. I like how it showed on my home screen but those ugly calendar icons need to go away.
The other problem is that this does not work over T-mobile tzones connection. I think this is the same problem I have with my default IMAP application. The outgoing port for the security is not supported via tzones.
Looks like I will just stick with basic pop3 support...I do like the inbox setup, the scrolling is very smooth and I would love to see this as part of the built in email application for both email and messaging.
i#ve tested the nokia e-mail service with my nokia e71 now for three days, but yesterday i uninstalled it already.
the reasons:
- i just can use 1!!! (one) mail account, but i need three
- my network connection was the worst i ever had
- pushing an e-mail lasts minimum 15 minutes
- and last but not least, my stand-by time went from 7-8 days down to two days
i had an e61i with a blackberry connect and there i had every of my three mail accounts, i had always a good connection and my stand-by time, with always synchronising phone lasts 5 days. nokia e-mail service is no alternative to blackberry connect
unusable for me without support for French accents - all accented characters show up as a box. I'm using an E71 from Singapore. Are people with Euro-E71s experiencing the same problem?
Would also like to be able to subscribe to folders in Gmail IMAP, and to have flagged messages passed via IMAP to Gmail.
Also if you want to attract new users another suggestion would be to have some sort of 'open' development. When developers and users could interact... a dedicated forum for example.
on the nokia n82 i don't get a notification that askes me to read the email.
it shows the @ email logo but doesn't give me the notification.
the server doesn't push my emails in real time. sometimes they don't come through for hours even if i push sync.
Same here not received a push email since 3rd October, using gmail as well
I like it, but hardly ever use it because I can't send email from a different address than where I received it (like in the default s60 mail client). If there is a way to do it, I'd like to know how.
I use it with an IMAP account and I miss that I cannot subscribe to several folders, only to the inbox. But I mark many arriving messages as read and put them automatically in a folder called newsletter. In the native email app of my Eseries I can subscribe to several different folders, not only the inbox.
@James this gives push email to the N95 whereas normal IMAP has to poll every x minutes on the built-in client.
I'd like to use the chat account @ovi.com with this please :-)
Generally speaking the service looks nice. I like both application and the way it sets up on my phone E71. However at the moment service seems to be a bit unreliable (after few days of using it stopped recognizing and pushing my new email). Depsite forcing 'sync' many times nothing new showed up in my inbox.
Also the push is a bit slow at the moment. You can count the delay in minutes.
If you compare this to the competition (emoze for example) this is very slow.
Great start, but I am afraid you guys have a lot to catch up at the moment.
Can't test this myself because my terminal is not supported, but doesn't this service give same features as IMAP IDLE capable email system configured to S60? Where's the beef?
Does this Nokia Email client work on FP2 devices like the N78?!?
Could you please explain how / if this is more efficient than the built in IMAP/POP client when it comes to
- data usage
- battery consumption

I have a new E71; heard about th Nokia EMail service that works on an existing account and decided to try this - few issues; I was able to signup and get a link sent to me by SMS; I downloaded and installed the software on the mobile. After install was complete went ahead into email setup again, entered my userid and password (its for an existing GMAIL account) it displayes the message briefly 'Getting email settings' then goes to a new screen - and gives the error -Unable to setup this mailbox. Its an existing GMAIL account - any ideas why this errors out? Thanks and please help!
I bought a shiny/gorgeous Nokia E71 four weeks ago and gave it back because no push email solution is satisfactory. Nokia choose a very bad time to cancel the Blackberry Connect application. Is this the way they want to compete in the American market? Ridiculous.
Being a Nokia fan by years, I can say that after using a Blackberry no other push email service is reliable. You guys, got to try by yourself. IMHO, that Nokia email service is a bit late.
I have installed the app on my Nokia E51 and the app sucks big time. The device is slown down, the "kernel" error is everywhere, if you forgot to log off even if you exit the internet acces point "magically" autoconnects and so on. Removed from E51. Installed on my N82 but email arrives in 15 minutes so IMAP idle is a free and much better option.
I tried many beta labs apps, most of them unuseful but funny pieces of software; email is too important for me and hey , because I'm not a masochist, I'll come back to Nokia email in a few months. Excuse me, but an ugly Bold waits me in the shops.
When will Google Apps email be supported?
Thanks
@Wengen: I think yes. Will give it a try soon.
@Uttam : You can use this application for your N95 8GB :)
I'm using the E61i and think his email client is somehow crap. Slow, no html, hangs on wifi, oftne problems with sending. And now if i understand it correctly this new client will not be free?
Tried installing and setting up Nokia Email on my N95 8GB and after terrible problems trying to get it to accept my Nokia Email password (it seemed to get stuck in a loop and refused to accept the correct password) I have now started getting "KERN-EXEC 3" errors.
Have given up and decided to uninstall it! :(
Russian characters are displayed correctly in message list and in headers, but not in the email body - here they just appear as squares. Until this is fixed I can't use the app.
All in all the app is great, although phone setup is a kind of mixed bag, I got lots of error messages and reinstalled the app twice before it gets to work.
Hello Nokia Beta Team,
I really like your email service, understanding that it just entered beta status it runs quite well on my E51.
- I like the interface and would like to have it as interface for the standard mail client
- at the moment sent email do not appear in the sent folder
- how about updates of the software, will you inform the beta testers?
- would be great to define more than one access point (e.g. if wifi xxxxx is not available use data connection of service provider)
- support of corporate mail would be great
- support of IMAP folders is essential
- support for several mail account would be nice to have
You are on a great way, looking forward to see the next version of this software.
Regards, Klaus.
Works really well on Nokia E71. I didn't see the advantages with push email before now!
But one problem. The Scandinavian characters (
Hello Nokia Beta Labs:
i just wanna ask a question about the E90 communicator...its the most expensive and powerful business gadget and its not compatible with Email service???...what are you doing???...i can wait for the features to be fully working or by adding new features to the application but what about compatibility?...i can live without Ngage and dont ask for E90 compatibility with it cauz its "E" but cant see "N" taking the advantage over my communicator on business software??.
Is it possible to see old emails, or just the mail that has arrived today?
It is essential that multiple folders are supported. I also use gmail, and most of my email is archived, and thus not in the inbox.
The mail composition interface is very nice. The regular mail application should be like that as well. The predictive address field is key.
I haven't installed this program, but from what I am reading, it seems like a good first try. This seems a lot like the program "Seven", which I currently use to push all of my email, including hotmail. Seven has a feature which Syncs contacts between the phone and gmail as well (I tried that and spent the next week cleaning up duplicates and replacing lost data). If you could clean this program up, add support for hotmail, as well as provide a confident sync function with gmail contacts, I'd b e a happy man. I rely on Google sync to keep my personal and work calendars up to date on my mobile, I'd like to be able to keep my contacts and mail in check as well.

does it work with yahoo email? i am having errors on nokia email website. the site keeps telling me that the service provide doesnt work with nokia email.
anyone?
I only tested this service with googlemail and .Mac, both work fine ...
I tried to download (my location: germany) but that failed with "page not reachable". So I will try later.
Is this a use of REAL pushmail for the device like the Active Sync Client for Exchange does? If so: I am very interest!
The costs of the Exchange connectivity on my N95 8Gb are very low. If I use the IMAP-Client for my privat mail (as second and in same time)the costs are increasing (and that they do very high! We don

Would it be possible for this app to display new mail under the cal entries on the standby screen, much like Mail4Exchange does on the E series handsets?
The little @ symbol is hard to notice and the email on the standby screen is a very nice feature on the E series.
why doesn't it support HTML emails?
PLUS POINTS
The layout and appearance of the icons is clear making the app easy to navigate and use.
The adding of an email address is simple and straightforward.
It does not
I converted from a Blackberry to an E71 because Nokia actually develops their devices to work with Apple, and all the online petitions in the world won't change that with Blackberry anymore than not using one. So...
Most people have AT LEAST 2 email accounts in 2008, just a fact of where communication is going...
Right now, my main account gets email by this service, all subsidiary accounts must use standard client. This is not really how things should work on any platform. I don't use my computers native mail client for an address, then use Thunderbird for another, or log onto the web. I use one solution an aggregate all email to one location.
Please make this support multiple accounts!
Oh Yeah, Symbian rocks!
Using the Nokia Email application on a Nokia E61 and really liking how it uses the email key and integrates into the standby screen. Using the Nokia Email application is nice, but one pain is I have my domain email forwarded to gmail, but can't set Nokia Email to reply to emails using the domain email address rather than the gmail address :-(
I installed email client on my N95 8gb and it works fine..but it was not able to view HTML email..this is a big problem because all modern email clients (as mobile clients) are able to read html emails...
Moreover the nokia service can manage only one email account...it should be better have multiaccount support
Now I have installed the application, too. Reason for my problems with the website are the certificate and the browser. I use Opera in the newest Version and for the browser the site is not safe enough. I
I've found that with Gmail this app creates two uneeded labels (folders) [Gmail]/Drafts and [Gmail]/Sent Mail in my account. I used to have this problem with Mozilla Thunderbird because it used different names for these folders (Trash was bin, Sent Mail was just Sent etc...)
Is there a way to change the default names? I know the UK version of Gmail tends to use different names for it's standard labels to localise it.
No multiple account ability, only one account.
No HTML support.
I like the layout and the start, but now Beta Labs should follow the Profimail lead.
I will continue to use Profimail as the best email application for the Symbian series.
Had it running now for a few days and like @Kevin I am also getting lots of
A service status page should be avalibile I think!
It's really annoying when you can't log in and you dont know what it depends on! :) Otherwise I think its great so far.

Hi all
Installed the day before yesterday an my E51, worked perfectly with a swiss blueewin account. Worrying about data transfer costs via GPRS I observed very closely the amount of transferred data: very few, settings configured as "pushing email only". When I switched Nokia Email to online this morning (with all the same settings) the (full) battery was empty after 3 hours. Data transfer was something like 6000 kBite (there where no new Emails!!) :-((.
No idea why; it looks a bit as if the "sync" went on all this time and I did not notice it.
So be carefull all of you
Greetings
Martin
Hi Martin and all others,
I
I'm having no luck logging into the program on my phone or the website. I, like you, was able to reset my password but that still didn't allow me to login. I was going to attempt to reinstall. But now I'm assuming it's a bigger problem.
Working again!
Dear all..
I setup Nokia Email to receive IMAP emails from my Google Apps email, so I don't have to maintain 2 separate devices for my emails.. When I'm back in office, I still rely on MS. Outlook to download all my emails (POP).
The issue I'm facing now is that, when I'm in office, MS. Outlook do not download my emails that have already been downloaded by Nokia Email, even though I download as IMAP.
I do not face this issue if I were to use the native/built-in email apps in my E71.
Yes, I
Hi.
I just cant get it working. Installing and set up works well, but It doesnt sync with my gmail when im using the nokia email. Help please!
i've installed this on my e61 with the latest firmware.
it endlessly pops up "KERN-EXEC 3" errors. doesn't stop popping up until its uninstalled.
very very disappointed.
Where did it go? I can't open email/nokia.com
On E71: had to restart the app so the email push would work again. I am not sure if the app knows which access point to use. The connection manager should take care of this, preferably automatically. I have a wifi at home and at work, 3G for on the way. The order of use is obvious, so why is the device not taking care of it?
I do not get any @ notification of new email when I get mail and the nokia email program is running. I had Seven installed and put it offline (disabled/exited), and that gave me the @ symbol with new mail, but not with Nokia Email.
I'm using it with gmail, and when I do get new mail, I get a beep and it vibrates, but there is no notification at all on my standby screen. From within the settings screens, I have it tset to display all notifications and still get nothing.
My phone is n95-1.
Service works ok. Couple of comments though:
1. It's not really push email when it takes 15+ minutes for an email to get to your phone.
2. Must support multiple email clients. Most people today are not just using one email address. Nokia I'm sure realizes this so let's put this in action sooner rather than later.
3. Love the interface, much cleaner than the other email options available for the E71.
4. I like how it integrates your contacts.
Overall not bad, could be much better if it pushed quicker and you could use it for more than one email address.
Error: Your credentials are expired.
Please post some info, as others are having same issue.
I follow instructions in the email.nokia.com and it say Congradulations you will recieve a message in your phone...but i didnt recieve anything...i do it 5 times because it say if you didnt recieve anything press reinstall..."i live in Iraq" is this the problem or there is anything else am doing wrong?
Would be nice if it worked 24/7. Sometimes it seems as if there was a massive delay. But maybe it's my network... the problem is that it hardly works with Italian providers (obviously they are the problem, because I could set it up - in two different countries - outside of Italy without any problems)....well there's hardly anything that works properly in Italy anyway... + does only work with gmail for me and not at all with my .mac account (or .me)! Anyone an idea why that is? Cheers
I have now uninstalled this software. It caused far too much error messages. Also it's annoying how the application dominates the screen after I boot up my E61i. Why can't it just stay in the background and just inform me if there is a new message? Instead the whole screen turns black and and shows the Nokia email icons. In general it behaves like an annoying Java app.
I hope you update the app soon. Then I would give it another try. It's great that Nokia Email Service let's me show two inboxes on my active standby screen: the main email box and the one I use with Nokia email. I need this feature because I have a work and private email inbox. If there was a hack to always show two inboxes on the active standby screen, I wouldn't use Nokia Email anymore but just the native email client. It never crashes. Other email software - like Bluewhale, Emoze, Mailx, Nokia Email Service, ... - just caused problems.
Hi Ade65, did you manage to fix the problem? I cant wait til the next version is released for me to try out. KERN-EXEC 3 just wont go away...
good beta...loaded on E61.
Install went well, but serivce is pushing POP but my gmail account is setup for IMAP enabled and POP disabled. End user should be able to setup service to use POP or IMAP if both are available.
I would like the option to not have e-mail preview list show on home screen.
I would like the ability to set an access point group as my connection.
I would like to have more than one e-mail account. Especially if you're going to ask me to pay for the service.
i wud love to pay a monthly fee for nokia to automatically retrive my email and send me a notification by sms rather than me connecting to the net everytime. i think you know what i mean. will we see this in future?
mohammad: it's a hoax. I also moderated your comment, and removed the hoax mail part.
Hello @ all ! What is your experience with Nokia email ? How much traffic do you need ? I have tested this and compared with emoze: in 1 hour Nokia needs 37kb (recieved 1 email and 1 hour standby) and emoze needs only 9kb (1 email and 1 hour standby, too).
What is your experience ? I think, Nokia has to work on this....
Dear Sir,
I got a mail from United Kingdom which is announcing I am winner of bumper prize in nokia lucky draw. As per their mail I have to pay 632 pounds to them. After receiving (money transfer) confirmation from my side. They will send me my lucky draw cheque to me. Now I like know from you. Is this matter (winner of bumper prize) true or a hoax news?
Please let me know about this mail. For your kind information I am forwarding that mail to you .
I am waiting for your reply,
Thanking You,
Yours Faithfully,
mohammad Ali Juma

Could those using/developing this tell us what it offers that the default s60 (N95 8GB) client doesn't?
I support comments that ask for more info about how this is superior to existing S60.3 email client.
I use existing S60.3 email client a great deal, and have 4 different accounts I access, but push email doesn't interest me especially.
Plus from some comments above it isn't clear to me that I could configure access.
In summary, I would need a lot more info up front to convince me that this offering is worth trying out.
I use a POP account to retrieve my emails but sadly it doesnt save a copy of the emails i sent. My Sent folder is always empty.
can I stop it from booting every time I start my phone.??? apart from that it is great.
I have to say Nokia is making good moves towards being an Internet company.
I have tried so many different email clients for my email account and am always looking forward to some good application that can serve the purpose well. Sadly I haven't found one that I can say - is the Best. This particular application interests me as I use my email account a lot from my mobile (when I am off my PC or Laptop). So I decided to give it a go!
Nokia Email Service - Way to go.
1) Creating an account - The end user must be convinced that this is a trusted service. I was surprised when I was asked to provide my Email password during creating an account. IMO, this should be done on the client end (i.e. in the application) But being a FN Champion - I do trust Nokia. So I continued.
2) Download Procedure - I selected E90 as my device and filled in all the details. I received an SMS with the URL. I clicked on it. And what does it ask me - Choose the device type! This shouldn't be asked to an End User (IMO). And if it is to be asked - there is no utility of asking selection of device while creating an account.
3) Installation - Installed well. But on the 1st launch I got an error as a note - All I remember was - Application closed, helper class. However the application launched in the background and the error disappeared in a flash.
4) First Launch- It is asking me for password. I think it would make more sense, if it was written "Email Password" rather than "Password".
5) Using the Application:
Now this is why I believe - I haven't wasted my time by installing this application. The UI is good specially the Grid View.
* Inbox: This is the most important thing I check in all the mail clients I use.
Inbox(0) on the first launch : when I had one unread email inside. Not good.
Inside the Inbox: I see all the emails. The first one is unread. There is an red vertical bar or exclamation next to it. First I thought its an indication for a new mail. I checked the email. I have to say - Scrolling the text needs to be more smother. Now Back to Inbox - and Still there is the exclamation next to the first mail. I can't figure out what it indicates.
Date labels: This is a new thing I haven't noticed before. Good one.
I choose "Collapse All" from the Menu. So I can see only dates of past three days. I get out of the Inbox. Enter it again and - I see all the dates again expanded. IMO, they should be collapsed as my previous preference selection.. This could be improved.
* Compose Email : Looks good. I wrote a test email. Set one Attachment and sent. Searched for Outbox. Found it in My folders. IMO, atleast OUTBOX should have an icon like inbox, many people use it to see the pending sent emails ( atleast I use it often) The email is sent successfully with the attachment. Good work.
The title of the application during compose - It scrolls and is constant to show - "ose email" - Should be improved. May be only having "Compose" as the title would help.
* Folders : I launched this, and by chance I checked the taskbar, I see Folders in my taskbar. Then I realized that this is true for all the Grid Icons. They have a icon in the task bar. This is a new thing.
But I have a problem - When my "Compose Email" is open and I am writing an email. I realize that I need to send a quick email to my friend.
So I go to the main application from the task bar. Click on "Compose" and the same window with my previous email appears. It would be good if a new "Compose" window was opened. That would really exploit the feature to have "Compose Email" in the taskbar (imo)
- The Folders seem good. I can't think of any improvements in this case. Except I use gmail for this application and I don't see any options where I can sort my emails according to labels.
* Sync : I click on it and feel nothing happens, until I see the green circle on the top. Well how about having a note displayed on clicking on sync - "Synchronizing..." and "Synchronized !" when its done ?
* Settings : Not much, to say on this. They look good. However, it can be simplified. For example, I should the settings to my friend and he said - better to another client than so many complicated settings. But I have no complains.
* Feedback and Help : Its fine. After all this is meant to be BETA.
* Connection Info : Good info provided, but could be more attractive.
* Receiving Email : I tested this. I get the notification immediately for the new email. But this would depend more on the speed of the connection. Good.
* Custom Icons on the grid : Could be added as an option. I would want the sent items icon on the grid. Moreover there is space for 2 icons wasted (IMO).
* Standby mode : The recent 3 emails are shown in the Standby mode. This is really good. I click on them - I go to the Inbox. Now I can't exit the application from the inbox. There should be an Exit option in the Inbox menu.
* Multiple Accounts : Could be done. I use 2 accounts : personal and professional. So I would buy an application that can handle both accounts. If I have to go the browser to check other account - why wouldn't I check the other one too ;-)
Well thats my say on the - Nokia Email Service.
I feel this application can be improved alot and can be a killer application when launched.
Best Regards,
Pankaj Nathani
I'm getting lots of Kern errors. Crashing the native browser seems to work better if I don't tell it to push still annoying.
Nokia email client is utterly slow, clumsy and badly coded. On my N82 I got plenty of memory full errors. The devs should check System Seven email client. Bad piece of software, very bad.
This is not so much a comment on the programme as it's entry in beta labs.
the front page at no point makes it clear what the advantages of this over the normal mail client are.
the words 'push' and 'blackberry' are strangely ommitted. why not call it the nokia push email service.
I think it's a very good programm. good work, nokia !
did some of you watch at the traffic ? I think 200kb/day with only 3-4 emails (only short text) is much, isn't it?
Do you have experience with "emoze"? They do not produce so much traffic. So, Nokia please work at this - and then it will be perfect !!
i installed it on my nokia n95...but it doesnt integrate in the standby screen (how can i get this work, do i need a new firmware, i have v 20.0.015)....theres only a small notification about new mails which you easily can overlook...would be nice if it would be possible that you can mark all emails as read with one click... im missing this also in the roiginal email client...i dont want to read all junk emails...
not working with my @yahoo.com mail. my e65 shows me "Unable to connect to server. Try again later". I am having problems with acessing my email via website also... I don't know what to do... :(
I like the idea of an improved email client, but looking at what's in the E71 I get the sinking feeling that to get the most of my phone with email I have to pay more. I'm not really sure how this is going to work with subscription for a better email client. Push is something I can live without. A better email (even a better sms client), that I expect to be the defacto on Nokia phones.
Still at least there's a direction on improving the email client :D
h
ey ya all I gott a problem.its about my nokia giving me error code kern-exec 3 everry time I use my web browser and then it just close on me.and thats just anoying.how can I fix that.can anybody help me.please response to methx
Also, no push emails since October 3rd on gmail. Have tried to reinstall a couple of times, with no success,
I found the application useless, I did installed 4-5 times wasted my time and it can't sync my gmail to my phone keep giving me error code on log error code 65535..I did changed my Blackberry 8320 for nokia E71 thinking it will do the job as was expected, but now I feel I was better off with Blackberry atleast I dont have to keep on connecting on the neative mail client to check my mails and moreover Blackberry was peace of mind..no matter where you are u will receive ur mail ontime. I am really disappointed with nokia e71 and must say Blackberry rocks in terms of mails and messaging along with a good phone.
Doesn't seem to be pushing any more, although it did when I first installed it. Instead, I have to sync manually (regardless of what the sync interval is set to).
Even when I do sync manually, there is an extreme delay in picking up messages, in the order of several hours, even though the sync reports success.
When I try to send e-mails, I get bounce messages - not quite sure why, but the problem may well be partially at this end.
Last but not least, I haven't found a way to select multiple messages and mark them as read. This exacerbates the whole 'no push' problem, as I tend to get new messages in big batches. Going through thirty or forty messages manually is no fun at all.
I would ditch it for Gmail message collection/IMAP/default messaging app, but that quantity of email makes my E71's messaging app seriously freeze up - almost a minute just to read a new SMS (which is also very disappointing). I'm coming to Nokia Email from Blackberry, so I'm a little underwhelmed to say the least.
the email works OK, but once I read the messages, it is deleted after awhile and I can't retrieve it anymore. Can't find it anywhere so I have to go to my computer and retrieve it from server.
should have the option to save email messages to memory card and easy instruction to do so. What do I need to do?
It is quite annoying that the email messages keep disappearing when new messages arrive.
I had the same problem: "Your credentials are expired" . I reentered my password through settings - advanced - account info and everything got back to normal.
i have no trouble at all using Nokia push email since 29th Of July 08 until the Afternoon 3rd October08 where i received my last push email. On the 2nd of October08 My seven Push email crashed on my 6120C phone and i had to uninstall it. Before, both of the seven and Nokia email worked flawlessly , never stop pushing mails from my yahoo and 2 gmails account. UNTIL ... 3rd of October 08. What the H... happened? untul now i have wasted time and gprs charges trying to download nokia email which is awsomely huge ( 1,8 MB) for a tiny phone.
The app itself is working flawlessly. Emails are received and sent almost instantly and I like the look and feel of the app and how it displays the most recent email headers.
However, since installation I have occassionaly been getting the following error messages on the Home Screen:
"Application closed: Home screen ViewSrv 11";
an Anykey error; and
an error which appears and disappears so fast I can't even see what it says.
Right before these errors pop up my phone freezes displaying portions of the animated logo of my network service provider, the Home Screen and the Nokia Email app.
Could this have anything to do with the fact the app opens automatically after start up and that this is impeding the Home Screen application as it tries to start up?
Facing the same issue as 'Thomas George' above.
I have an E71 and mail-for-exchange installed [works flawlessly on my corporate mail]. trying to get gmail activated and neither the default client works nor does the email app.
is this problem due to mail for exchange or something else?
Nice blog, with a bunch of good info. It's just a little bit difficult to dig out. Thanks <a href="http://techbranch.com" rel="nofollow">computers and network repair company in Tampa</a> called Techbranch.
No multiple account ability, only one account.
Pls inform me when multiple account ability becomes availeble.
Until then I will have to continue using Profimail, so far the best email application for the Symbian series as far as I can judge.
The new version is worse than the old... credentials keep expiring, and when I input my password again it replies with an error many times.
How can you expect users to pay for this? The iPhone's email app is _free_ and more functional.
This service is junk and makes no sense that nokia wants customers to pay for it. All fones come with ability to check pop and imap emails for free.
I install on my new E71 and it crash everytime. I paid for themes and the do not work in nokia email.
Why should we buy it?
This must be some sort of sick joke, this nokia email.
I'm taking my E71 back with crappy nokia email app and I'm buying black berry because there are no answers to the problems with nokia email.
I'd like it to work through a wap connection so that who has free wap (port 80) but not free web can have push email at no more charge
Hi
I have recently purchased E 71 and I must say its very good & strong phone , build quality is very good.
I am a die hard fan of black berry and practically my days begins with BB at my bed side - first thing i do in morning is check my BB , or rather that was first thing which i use to do in morning .
I purchased e71 thinking that it will bring ease of use & practicality of Nokia handset but i am very very disappointed.
Few Reasons
1) NO BB connect software.
2) Very POOR Nokia Push mail - is it push mail B'coz surely it takes hours to get updated on computer. Its worse than snail mail. Its JOKE if you are selling this is AS PUSH MAIL!!!!!!!! . I just Update NEW Version and it stopped working all together. Nokia if you cannot develop technology please allow to use BB Connect - you will miss on business customers.
3) Nokia Push mail does not update sent folder on device it shows error " Email truncated to 0 chars
"
3) BB is light years ahead in push technology.
4) Worst part is when i today called customer care ( IN INDIA ) on both occasions they disconnected the phone in middle of conversation I guess they don't have solution for the problem or are not properly trained.
Please see if you can make Nokia email service at least working if not as good as Airtel BB - which simply rocks.
I will soon DUMP E71 and buy BB 8900 ( its just rocks !

I have been using the Nokia email client on my E90 for the last few days. Today Yahoo mail started giving me a problem. Whenever I send an email I am getting a Delivery Status Notification (failure)
535 authorization failed (#5.7.0)
and
500: Could not obtain user credentials
I went in to my email.nokia account just to re-enter the password for my yahoo account, and now I even that is throwing the following error
The email push facility doesn't seem to work on the N95 I have tried installing it a number of times and the only way I can retrieve emails is via the sync function. Checked all the settings and have confirmed that the data connection is staying live after a manual sync
Anyone using this successfully on the N95?
OK i was a bit worried when the troubles started... now i can see all of us share same problems with this push email... BUT suddenly the built in e-mail client on my E71 stopped working. I can recieve emails but i cannot send them. Strange thing and sad on the other hand. Now i can connect to gmail acount via WiFi with Opera and check/send emails... pitty. I believe BB is much better choice for me. We gave quite some money for the phone and would be nice to get some answers and explanations from you too!
My email account has been down for 24 hours and I dont know if your service is down or just my account. Please advise. Below is the error message that appears beneath my username on the home screen

Hi can anyone help me with Error code 65535 Unexpected server error?
I came back from 10 days overseas and after the initial download and overload I erased and then it won't download anymore emails. I also added a second email address but that did not help either.
Have you dealt with this issue before?
Thanks
RYS
