Another minor update to Wellness Diary
Thu, 2008-11-27 07:42
Nokia Wellness Diary was just updated to 1.25. Changelog:
- supports newest models: N79, E71, N85, 6210, 6220
- supports newest version of Sports tracker (
v. 1.78 betav.1.82 beta) - exercise intensity scale changed
- minor improvements&bug fixes
Comments
I was trying to input exercise data, but I can't seem to tell the diary about the effort level. I'm assuming it inputs the data from Sports Tracker and/or Step Counter.
The thing is, I don't jog or run. I do Martial Arts, and I can't find a way to tell the diary that's a very hard workout.
Any suggestions or additions or things I haven't looked ?
Thank you for the correction Jamaal!
After installing, my Application Manager shows two entries of Wellness Diary.
One shows a size of 916 KB and the second one, with the same name, shows a size of 1KB. This is not a professional approach, atleast nokia should stick to a suite of apps instead of each app making multiple entries in the app. mang.
And even if you go for more than 1 entry in the app mang. please name them differently.
Is this the place for feature suggestions?
I've recently tethered myself to the Wellness Diary and find it it fitting my needs almost perfectly. The only thing missing seems to be weight training logging. I could see it being similar to the Exercise log, where the type could be choosen from a user created/selected list of routines. Duration could replace sets, reps could replace distance, intensity could stay the same (though maybe too broad
Right now I use the notes app, but it requires exporting and bringing into a spreadsheet to analyze my results.
not able on E 65
Latest publicly available version of sports tracker is 1.82 from the research.nokia.com site.
The Wellness Diary page still displayed 1.18 as the download version. Please update the version number on the download page too.
still I can't export the data.......
Hmmm ... after updating Nokia Sports Tracker, Wellness Diary does not open anymore.
hi! thanks! but where is it? In my nokia 5320 please
Bug report
I used Sport tracker in older version (without possibility to show route on map). I had there few routes (majority of them were with car, therefore nothing connected with wellness :-) ). After that I installed Wellness diary. All my routes from Sport tracker were automatically updated to Wellness diary. After I started to use WD to track my results.
After that I updated to the newest version of Sports tracker. So, I had the newest versions of both programs. When I was examining Sport tracker functions, on one route I selected "save as route". And everything went wrong... This route stayed in overview of my routes (trips), but was not possible to open it, shot route on map. At this time Wellness diary worked fine. After that I decided to delede this "damaged" route from memory. Sport tracker works fine, but I cannot open Wellness diary after that.
I just only see welcome screen with "loading of database" and after that application is closed. I use both memory of mobile phone and card. Sport tracker has data on memory card and WD in phone memory. When I plug off memory card, after that WD starts perfectly.
I found out that problem is in WD in option "Import data from NST/SC". If there is "yes", application does not start (when memory card is in mobile phone - in case of my above mentioned settings).
So, from my point of view, problem could be in these areas:
- WD does not properly cooperate with the newest version of ST
- WD has problem with loading of queu of trips from ST - if one or more is deleted (which has been already loaded by WD) - and this deleted item was not the last from WD activity overview (but was the last from ST)
- other unknown problem
Many thanks for info/advice/reaction

Still not working with N79. Now it installs but doesnt start the program.
A killer improvement to this would be to enable integration with the Nintendo Wii Fit. That way the total daily step count could include those during the day and those on the Wii Fit.
Weight could be automatically logged and series viewed
The error code is "user 44". Explained by errrd.
Wellness Diary Problem
I've a problem with this application, afer upgrade for a new firmware on my N95 i'cant install Wellness Diary on the memory card, only leave me install on the memory phone.
Did you know why it's the problem?
On scrolling to the right in the settings screen, we come to a syncronise screen which asks for our username and password.
Can you inform us what this is exactly? And which username and password are we supposed to put in here? I have entered my Nokia Accounts credentials, but what and where does it actually syncronise?
The suggestion of synching with a Wii Fit is a good one, but probably requires some collaboration. Where you're using two or more bits of hardware/software to monitor or improve your health and fitness then having them centrally controlled/managed is the only sensible way to do things. Nokia have already demonstrated the benefits of this by synching WD with step counter and sports tracker. Let's get Bluetooth working for WD!
Recent upgrade on sports tracker to ver2.1 seems to cause problems with WD now.
WD v1.25 doesn't seem to work at all now and I've had to roll back to v1.04 to get it to work at all. However, that version of WD won't import data from ST now, which is frustrating, and WD often crashes, for example when moving between graphical views.
A pair of applications that worked together really well, now not working well for one of them. The new improvements to ST are great though.
Still not working with E71. Now it installs but doesnt start the program!
WD 1.25 doesn't work in my N95 8GB either after upgrading to Sports tracker 2.1. It just closes itself.. Can't remove memory card because it is internal. That sure was a "minor" upgrade... nice ;-(
