Written by Maria R, Nokia Maps team.

Over the next few weeks Nokia Maps team will conduct a piece of research for the Walk navigation feature within Nokia Maps.

We’re looking for a range of users, from novice to experienced, who are based in London and/or Berlin and have been using Walk within Maps 2.0 or Maps 3.0 Beta actively. Hands-on experience with other mobile mapping products is a big plus too.

This is how it works:

If you are using the Walk feature, and are based in London and/or Berlin, and happen to have some free time in your city in the following weeks, this is an opportunity for you to influence the development of the Walk feature within Nokia Maps.

If you would like to participate in the research session in your city (London, Berlin) in person, please fill in the next 6 questions online and leave us your contact details.

We will contact some of you within the next few days to check your availability and invite you for a session in your city. In appreciation for your time and your feedback during the research session, you will receive an incentive and some cool Nokia Maps goodies.

I am unable to log in to the Sportstracker site. I have been using the site for months, and suddenly I'm unable to log in. The error message tells me to send mail to helpdesk@sportstracker.nokia.com However, mail to the address is bounced. There is no way I can access my data, and no way I can report the problem to Beta Labs.

Beta testing is a two-way street. If you are going to ask users to help you test your software, then the least you can do is be prepared to talk to them when they run into problems during that testing.

Hi, I'm a blind user who like to use the Walk feature however because there is no voice or sound during the walking navigation so I can't use this (tried v2) it would be great if there is a possibility to activate the voice or sound or better the possibility to activate an pop-up so the text-to-speech program can read it which direction to go and street I’m walking. And maybe a possibility to show a big arrow instead of the map for people who can see a little bit. It would be a great expansion for the Walk feature. If you like I can participate if it is available in the Netherlands.

This is a very interesting subject, but how far have Nokia improved Nokia Maps? For example, in my city (Porto) the coverage is very weak.
