GSMA's Best Mobile Internet Service award for Nokia Sports Tracker

gma_logo.gif

Now, this is something we can all be proud of. This Wednesday, our own wonder-boys, the small but energetic Sports Tracker team, snatched the prestigious Best Mobile Internet Service award from GSMA's Global Mobile Awards 2009. Judges' comments:

"A great example of a service that utilises the capabilities of high tier handsets to deliver a compelling application and service proposition. The ability to share data captured on the handset with a community of users typifies how social networks are increasingly being driven by mobile use."

A big part of recognition belongs to the whole Sports Tracker and Beta Labs user community (= you). Thanks everyone who has helped make this happen!!

Congratulations for a well deserted award! I use Sports Tracker almost every day ... or at least I should ;)

There have been no updates to sports tracker for 4 months. Are those guys still alive?

Onnittelut, softa on todella loistava! Toivottavasti sykemittarit ilmestyvät pian kauppojen hyllylle, niin sitten tuo on täydellinen paketti!

It was a well deserved award indeed. Of all the services and softwares available for mobile, Sports Tracker is one of the most unique! Its pretty simple, but still, it is amazing.
Congrats to the Sports Tracker team.

ST v2 was supposed to be released along with N79 Active, but haven't heard anything about it after that. I don't really know what all new features could be added, since the current version itself is nearly feature complete.

It is certainly the best application (for me) Nokia Beta Labs came out with so far. I took it to Himalayas, Alps, Rwanda, use it as a speedometer for my 1966 Ford (with broken instrument panel :) ), great stuff.

Congrat with the award! I use SportsTracker with my N95 8GB and are mostly satisfied with the service, especially the good integration between the mobile and the online service. I have a few issues though, but when I try to use the support e-mail address for SportsTracker, I get an error message indicating that the address is not valid. Is it better to address such issues in this blog?

congratulation !!!
but the basic property - track leght - should be improved.
Most tracks longer up to 20% than the same track tracked by other aplications.

Congratulations. Great application! Now I just want to buy the bluetooth heart rate monitoring belt from Polar to use with it, but it doesn't seem to be sold separately yet...or is it?
