Nokia Easy Meet is an intuitive mobile collaboration tool that allows for real-time sharing of content using mobile devices as well as PCs. The service is extremely easy to use. In fact, no software download is required for any device. All you need is access to an Internet browser. From either a PC or a mobile device, the user simply has to enter the Nokia Easy Meet URL and then create a meeting. The service supports regularly scheduled as well as ad hoc meetings.
Once you create a meeting, the service sends out an email and/or SMS to each participant. With just one click, each participant can join the meeting and view the content shared by the host. Content can come directly from the host’s device or from remote servers (via OVI Files).
Unlike many other web-based collaboration tools, Nokia Easy Meet allows mobile devices users to fully participate in the service. Mobile device users can see, interact with, and share content directly on or from the device. By providing complete functionality to mobile devices, mobile participants aren’t at a disadvantage in the meeting setting.
The following features are currently supported by Easy Meet:
Dennis,
I misunderstood your question before. To enter the minutes of the meeting, the host needs to assign you as a scribe, then only you can see the entry field for minutes. Also the host cannot be the scribe at the same time.

You could click on the accordian on FileList, Participants to collapse them so that the minutes show up and you can enter your minutes

Yes, I'm sad about it too... Getting it would have caused quite a delay in this case, however, and we thought it would be better not to wait any longer to try this out in the wild. Was it a good call?
Oscar,
I have seen cases of the S60 widget problem you describe. If it recurs, do file a bug report as Umesh suggests. Please include your phone model and the s/w version # (*#0000#). In some cases, a more current version of the phone s/w (particularly with newer version of Web Run Time - engine behind S60 widget) should improve things. I do realize that this may seem drastic. But, if you try this, make sure to backup your phone data.
Thanks for your feedback.
There is a bug report section (in Forum's tab) where you can file a bug report.
For the Widget, what device are you using ? Also the widget takes around 15 seconds to load and there is no visual display (we are working on that).
Great tool and so easy to use, which is fantastic. I especially like the fact that you do not need to re-enter the conference ID.
Will it ever be integrated with Live Meeting setup, so that when we setup a meeting in Nokia we can just check a box that will also set the meeting up automatically in Easymeet?
Umesh,
I just discovered that JavaScript was disabled in Browser Settings! Issue resolved.
Dennis,
I am glad that it worked for you on the mobile device and you had a good experience.
As for the scroll bars on the PC, our design consideration was such that we wanted to give the mobile device first class citizen status, meaning the interface was optimized specifically for mobile device. The hiding of the scroll bars on the PC is a by product of that. We have two interfaces one for small display mobile device (like N95, E71 etc) and one for PC and larger mobile device (E90, n810, iPhone etc). In this larger layout we have fixed dimension for height and width which makes the scroll bar to go away. On the mobile device we only have one component (File list) open and all other are closed, which makes it very easy to use. we dont do that on PC - i guess we could do that.
Thanks for your valuable feedback and we would fix it.

EasyMeeting Is a great idea, but there is much to be improved, for example:
- The Help topics are incomplete, please we need a place to send troubleshoot reports
https://easymeet.nokia.com/_info/help_index/
- The S60 Widget sometimes doesn't work. I had to restart the application four times to make it work
For more defects in the application, carry a tool for meetings is a great idea.
Congratulations for the idea Nokia developers.
Cool service, i think something similar was demo'd at Nokia World, though I don't recall the name or anything.
1. I too am disappointed this isn't integrated into my Ovi Account.
2. I'm also disappointed that the website isn't optimized for the 5800 when I login with that. It shouldn't be too difficult to add a custom profile for touchscreen phones like the 5800 or the N97 to increase the font size a bit and make buttons slightly larger and other finger-friendly touches, should it?
Interesting - I'll be sure to try this out later with my colleagues.
Sad to see, however, that Nokia account integration is not there from the start, as it was on the last few beta labs projects...
looks nice on first experiments.
Like mentioned, shame you could not get the Ovi single-sign-on to work in time.
But on the up-side, well done for only supporting modern browsers and not supporting the non-compliant and old IE6.
Tommi, i would say that it is the correct call.
At least I expect things here to be slightly broken or have missing features, after all it is called Beta-labs for a reason ;)
Thanks for the feedback on developing a profile for touch interfaces. We'll certainly aim to address this in the near term.
It's also worth noting that key navigation for non-touch UIs would provide good accelerator capabilities.
Thanks Christian for your encouraging feedback.
We have been talking with different groups in Nokia about integrating Easy Meet with other productivity tools including Live tools. So far no decision has been made yet, but it would be good if we are able to do that. Will keep you posted.

I can't login to Easy Meet with the default WebKit browser on my N95-3 NAM with latest 20.2.011 firmware. .
After entering my credentials and pressing the submit button the log in form just reloads with no error message. I tried doing a password reset, battery pull and clearing cache and cookies but it didn't help.
I can log in without problems using Opera Mini on the same phone although many of the features don't work - which is understandable as Opera Mini isn't a supported browser.
Dennis,
Thanks for your feedback.
We just tried on our N95 - NAM with the firm ware of 20.2.011 and we have no issue in logging in and using the service. Could you please send me an email at umesh.1.chandra@nokia.com and we can take this offline.

On my PC the Easy Meet window has no scroll bars and at my monitor's supported 1650 x 1050 resolution, the bottom of the screen containing the entry field for the meeting minutes is cut off in Firefox and Chrome even in full-screen mode. I have to use Opera 9.64 to enter minutes.
Thanks for all the help Umesh,
The mobile version works great now that I've enable JacaScript.
I knew I had to be scribe to enter minutes but I couldn't figure out how to get to the bottom of the screen. Collapsing the participant list does work to bring the minutes entry field into view.
But what's the point of hiding the scroll bars? If something is off screen on a web page, the natural user reaction is to scroll not to click around on unrelated interface elements that don't advertise themselves as clickable.
