Quick note: many of you have been complaining about the incompatibility between Nokia Wellness Diary and the latest version of Nokia Sports Tracker. This is a known issue, and I apologize for not recognizing this publicly earlier.
Full disclosure: during the past few months, the Wellness Diary project (an experimental app by a small research team) has been on hiatus. There has been a change in project ownership, we have been considering the next steps, and there hasn't been any dedicated development activity. But stay tuned: it ain't over 'til the fat lady sings.
In general, I think we could share the status of the projects more openly: telling which ones are active, which are less active; which are being productized, which are only experiments and likely to be archived. But more about this later, as we walk the walk...
5th edition version.
Is there a 5th edition in works, namely 5800/N97 version?
Sounds like a great idea
Sounds like a geat idea. Thanks Tommi.

thanks for your openness
Hi Tommi,
Thanks for your explanation. As a user of both these application (and the third one, the step counter) am I eagerly waiting for the update. I hope you even incrrease the integration between these programs, but solving the described problem is top priority for me.
Thanks !
Time to merge the two applications?
I was wondering how many of you think that this hiatus might also prove to be the right moment to consider merging these two popular applications.
Seriously, if you practice an active lifestyle taking care of your diet, workouts, etc you definitely use both programs. So why don't merge the two teams and provide a supercool application with nice features and overall functionality?
"Cogito Ergo Sum"
Workaround
I think I found a workaround, though the problem still needs to be fixed:
If Sports Tracker is running you can open Wellness Diary...i.e. start NST, hit the menu key (if you have one...I have a 6220 classic), tadaa, WD is able to run and imports the exercise from NST.
And I agree that NST and WD should be merged...would free up a quick start slot on my phone ;-)
Thanks Tommi
The openness is appreciated. Nokia has a big challenge ahead of it, in the years to come, with all the smartphones getting out there. It's great to have this forum, and community with your users.
In regards to the applications. I think most users will agree that Sports Tracker and Wellness Diary should be one.
Cheers!
emobo Sports Tracker and Wellness diary
Dont forget the step counter. This isnt quite the same software as sports tracker. I like to use just a step counter without GPS! and see the same format as step counter.
Old version please?
Could someone please post an earlier version of sports tracker which works with the latest wellness diary?
Or two versions of both apps which works together?
Cheers
