We here at the Nokia Image Exchange team have been positively surprised by the amount of feedback from the Beta Labs community. Based on the comments and requests, we are now updating the Nokia Image Exchange S60 client and the Web site and are hoping that these changes meet your needs even better.
The most important new feature is to allow manual uploading of images to the server for sharing, backing up and transferring to PC. New users can select upon the first start of the application whether they wish to use the full automatic back-up or choose to opt for manual control instead. Our existing users can also change to manual uploads mode via the Settings on the mobile client. This should reduce the need for flat-fee data plans considerably.
And we do feel that Nokia Image Exchange is a wonderful standalone gallery as well.
The second major change is that we are in the process of integrating to Nokia Account. From today onwards, you will be asked to provide your Nokia account credentials when you login to the Nokia Image Exchange Web site.
Initial login is done with the credentials from Nokia Image Exchange mobile client. You are then asked to connect these to your Nokia Account. This is a one-time operation after which you can use your Nokia Account with the Web site. Users who only use the mobile client do not see any changes.
Nokia Image Exchange is an experimental imaging service to make browsing and sharing images fun and easy. It aims to provide a seamless integration of a mobile image gallery application and a corresponding web-service. Nokia Image Exchange explores the possibilities of the mobile phone when it is enabled with always-on data connection and utilizes existing contact information as a basis for social networking.

Thanks for letting us know
Thanks for the quick feedback. As of now, we are not yet supporting multiple Nokia Image Exchange accounts under one Nokia / Ovi account. Thus, to use multiple deices you'd need multiple Nokia Accounts.

Any chanec of a link to Share on OVI
As Image Exchange is now ising the Nokia/OVI username & password and at least partially joining the gang. Any chance of a link to Share on OVI such that images can be viewed from there, like the qik plugin or the flickr plugin.
Also posted a possible bug in the forum.
Cheers,

Shame
Thats a shame, i was really hoping to merge both of my accounts. I guess I will have to set up an additional Nokia account, but I guess I will lose my NIE username now.

@Mickyfin: In the NIE
@Mickyfin: In the NIE settings page there is a new field called "Screen name" that contains your previous NIE username. That is the alias that will be shown to others when they look at your images or see your comments.
