Hi all!
We're very happy here in Nokia Ovi Suite team to see how eagerly you've been downloading and installing the first Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0 Beta release, which we released on Tuesday last week. Keep downloading the product and keep using it, we are very interested in continuing to receive your feedback about the product. Thanks also to everybody who participated to the first impressions survey for Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0 Beta - lots of good comments there!
Last week's release was the first Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0 Beta release. We're happy to see that you are interested about the product and willing to try it, even in Beta quality. Work in the development team continues full steam for the next Beta releases: we are improving the quality of the product, fixing reported issues, improving the performance, and fixing sync issues. Lots of work going on as we're trying to deliver the updated Beta release for you.
I have two small wishes for you:
- Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0 Beta will automatically inform you when the next Beta release is available. So keep using the product, so you'll be the first ones to know!
- Sign in to Nokia Ovi Suite with the Nokia Account, if you haven't done that yet. Share some photos in Ovi Share with Nokia Ovi Suite, and tell us how well it works for you.

I wish to have possibility to synchronise ContactList and Calendar
From Ovi Suite with my page in Ovi.com
Hello, Nokia OVI Suite team!
I have downloaded it and I liked so much the new "face", with white and modern presentation. I could see that the conecction with web was faster than before and sync of messages was great. It seems Nokia was trying to say for its customers that calendar, contacts, tasks and notes should be synced through MS Outlook. I do not agree! I do not want to sync with this application. I do think is much more safe and interesting sync our data in Nokia OVI Suite only! I do not use Outlook, I am trying to use Nokia OVI on the Internet, syncing trhough my no limit mobile internet conecction in my N95 8GB.
But there is a structural problem: the amount of option for input calendar (I mean, types of reccurring appointments) is too poor in the mobile phone and is poor in the Nokia Communication Centre on Nokia PC Suite (Nokia OVI Suite does not offer input calendar data in itself, just using Outlook... :-( ). It should be offered like Google Calendar, where is possible manage appointments using the mouse clicking and get the appointment to another date and time.
Please, improve Nokia OVI on the internet and improve Nokia OVI Suite on PC!
Thanks in advance!

Ovi suite is maybe nice but can't use it because it won't work whit all my phones. When oh when!!!
When sending messages. the sent message should appear instantly in the conversation. Ovi has to sync all messages before this appears!
There are a lack of user preferences; it would be nice to specify the text size - the last message it too big. It would be nice to seporate the chat window so you dont have to keep open the whole ovi suite. And new messages at the bottom would be a nice user preference.
The calendar functionality is missing.
Using your phone over bluetooth doesnt recognise new sms messages. The phone should push the information when a new text has arrived and not have to wait for ovi to sync all messages when there is just one message.
What bothers me most (in the newer versions of Ovi, too) is that syncing calendar items only works for max. 4 weeks in the past. Also, I'm missing a decent LOG of what was synced/deleted/edited because Ovi tends to make duplicate entries of contacts and calendar items.
And could there be made an option to use one (from the 2 phones I own) as a master device, and the other phone only gets new entries and changed items, without syncing back?
Regards, Rob.
