Your voice on how well we are doing - survey results

As I promised, here are some highlights from the survey done last week.

Survey results (PDF)

Survey

The sample size was about 230. I've highlighted things with red and green based on how important the question was and how well we were doing on that.

Thank you all for participating!

Great to see survey results, 3 main -ve trends are clear here.

1) Not enough interesting Beta apps/services
2) Not enough participation by Nokia devlopers/product teams
3) Need to improve mobile version of site.

But overall I would say more +ve than -ve points. I hope you will take few action points here.

Might I suggest a new poll for what projects we would like to see in 2010?

I for one would to see a new email client worked on. On that can use exchange activesync and allows you to view html emails. Insert images inline, etc. A text only email client on phones you try to bill as a "mobile computer". Especially with WiFi and 3G connections. You're going to fall behind the ball with your competitors (Google, Apple, Windows). It would also be nice to have the ability to print emails out to a bluetooth and/or network printer.

The web browser could use some updating too. Tabbed browsing could be easier to use (create new tabs).

i just dont agree with the result for the mobile site. In my opinion it was a great hit.
It may be s60v5 users who have complaints.

@Bootie - Interesting idea! It would probably need to begin with an open-ended call for suggestions so as not to limit thinking, and then follow that with a poll to find the favorites. Or did you have something else in mind?

@snowy - Need to dig deeper to understand more about how the mobile site is being used, but it's worth nothing that that question has low correlation with overall satisfaction.

@Bootie By the way we have a space on the Beta Labs forum for new ideas:

Keep in mind, though, that we can't guarantee that anything suggested here will be taken forward.
