Maps team. You are my heroes.

We've got multi point routing back and we've got select from contacts again.

I did the following:
Open Maps / Select Search / Select location / Select Add to Route / selct "Add new route point"
You now have the following options:
My position
Places
History
From Map
Address (I'll come back to this one)
From Search

If you select "Address" from the lista bove you can then select "Options" and "Select from Contacts"

If I was female I'd offer to have your babies.

Ok, Im unable to install Ovi Maps 3.04 due to not enough memory.

I placed the Maps installer to my 16GB MicroSD, and chose to install from there, but sadly, having Wordpress installed, which is another big file with its qt libraries, The N97 simply is not cut out for these kind of installations.

I downloaded the version of E52 on my N86 and it worked ok. Only glitch is that GPS still working after shuting down application.

why cant install on memory card or mass storage hard drive? Do som thing abt it coz N97 doesnt hav enough phone memory. It consumes abt 10-15 MBs of phone memory which is already very low.

no more support for N85? :`(

Kee, can you or someone else confirm whether E71 will get the free turn-by-turn navigation? I need to now to decide whether to keep my phone or not.

WE NEED THE SIGNAL STATUS BAR, GPS NAVIGATION CANT BE THE SAME WITHOUT IT!!!! please put it back in later releases. And why does it not show my previous location red dot thingy when i start d app again. I also like the deep red dot it shows in previos version wenever it has a lock on satlite...feels more....mature

To be honest Ovi maps search is full of mistakes.
1. in the Education you cannot find any private universities:
"Lazarski School of Commerce and Law" is a prime example.
2. The Gastronomical section offers A RESTAURANT (original "restauracja" Meaning, one only Come on!) ...
and just below it offers a prime example of translation via computer because restaurants called "Dominium or Va Bene" are called "Włoski" which describes the language of Italy, but not it's cuisine.
The translation problems aren't a big thing really but it seems crazy when you think taht Finnish language has 9 cases of a noun and Polish's got only 7.

how do i come to know if the GPS signal is strong or weak??? OVI search is most pathetic thing i have ever noticed. the only plus point for OVI is turn by turn guidance with Voice. or Google Maps is Much better when it comes to search local listings/ Places.

A bug, some good, some missing

With version 3.04 an old bug is back, I have to restart the N97 after use of maps, otherwise maps is not able to find my position by the next usage of maps.

Thank you for giving us back the option to look for a Adresse and use of adress from a phone book contact, but could bring this option to the drive and walk menu as well? P-L-E-A-S-E ! ! !
To have it in the route planning mode only is a bit tricky for daily use.

I miss the GPS status bar, during the navigation mode. The new solution is fine... is better than the status bar for map mode, but for navi mode a GPS status is mandatory!
During navigation the quality of the GPS status can change remarkable. Caused by rain, high buildings, heated windscreen.... with the effect that I can't trust at all to the shown position of mine at the map. In the past the GPS status bar was for me an excellent indicator how far I can trust the shown position.
Altenativly you can bring the new 'may-be-you-are-somewhere-here-radius' from the map-mode to the navi-mode as well.

Will we get the ability to draw our own driving routes?
OVI maps doesn't recognize most of the major roads in my country and I'd like to be able to add roads and draw my own driving routes.

When are you going to add support for n95, n82, e71 and other curently unsupported phones?

I wish to have map rotation in direction while not navigating with destination.
