Ovi Calendar 1.6 beta trial concluded

We have now reached the end of the Ovi Calendar 1.6 beta trial period. Thanks to all those who participated in this trial. We received great feedback from you. Ovi Calendar 1.6 went live at the end of July and a lot of your feedback has gone into strengthening the commercial launch offering and in shaping future releases.

If you have been actively using Ovi Calendar 1.6 beta, the cut over to the live service will be seamless to you. All of your data will stay intact and you can continue to use all of the same cool calendar features you have come to rely on in the same URL that you have gotten used to. However, the Beta Labs pages and forum will be moved out of active status. Likewise, any support requests should now go to through normal customer service.

Thanks again for your support and continue to use Ovi Calendar 1.6 with shared calendar, to-dos and notes capabilities at http://calendar.ovi.com.

I guess, this was released just to prepare for upcoming N8, first symbian device to support multiple calendars.

Somehow in new calendar I miss ability to multiple select and delete of To-dos and Notes. How can you guys drop basic feature as that? It was available in earlier version. Please fix this ASAP.

A good step, now please let us import and export data. Also there's a lot of delay switching between months.

And a question - will multiple calendar sync into one seeing as the 5800 only has one?

Hi, love the new app, just one problem, is not syncing any more, I used it as beta and it used to sync, it took a day to show changes, but in fact it synced, but now it doesn't show any changes and the sync log in my phone says everything went fine

Hi. I second the post from yorch (#4). Love the new calendar app but it doesn't sync changes (it works from phone to server but not the other way around).

I posted about this issue yesterday at Nokia Support Discussions and it looks like a general issue (other people also complaining):

I hope you're already aware of it and that a fix is on its way. If you need some testing, log files, etc.. just let me know.

while beta phase I reported I was synced my calendar one time and I reported I could never sync it again, my notes and to-dos are gone... I only have it on my cellphone... I tried resending the settings but nothing happened, the sync on the phone finish saying everything was synced but when I check the website all is still my calendar 1st sync, no notes, no to-do list... and you haven't added Nokia Ovi Suite support yet (even when I reported the sync date is not modified by NOS when syncing contacts and asked for calendar/to-dos/notes support a tons of times)... I am very frustrated guys cause I continuously try to help you but you are still stuck in the same place, new defective releases... :(
