New Gig Finder beta now available for more countries and more devices

Since the previous Gig Finder beta we’ve been working hard to extend the availability of the app to more countries so that more people can find the best musical events near them.  Today’s beta release of Gig Finder now includes gig information for 18 countries: USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland and Spain.  And the app is now compatible with Symbian^3, S60 5^th edition, and S60 3^rd Edition FP2 devices.

On top of that we’ve updated the look & feel and added a few new features.  With this beta release of Gig Finder you can:

• Improved: Get gig recommendations based on your music taste and location.
• Search for concerts by artist, genre, city, venue and dates
• Add artists to your music profile to be notified when they play concerts near you
• Find where to buy tickets and compare prices
• Get directions to the venue using Ovi Maps
• New: Preview tracks from that artist or go through to Ovi Music to purchase songs
• Improved: Invite your friends using Facebook, SMS or e-mail (Selecting Facebook friends from within the app was a requested feature)
• New: Artist page with information about upcoming events & most popular music tracks
• New:  Ability to manually change the location used to recommend Gigs (This was another requested feature)
