Thanks to your feedback on our last beta release, we are now happy to bring you another update of Swype for S60 5th Edition phones. We'd appreciate it if you would download the new version and continued providing your comments and feedback. A short list of changes is below. For a complete changelog and a list of known issues please see the More Info tab.

  • Several crashes have been resolved including those related to backspace
  • Spanish keyboard properly displays national character
  • Performance relating to auto-capitalization, auto-spacing and general application speed has been improved
  • A new language selection dialog has been implemented to improve readibility and UX
  • Rotation no longer reverts Swype back to the default keyboard
  • Application size has been reduced by 1.5mbs

What's new here? When I follow download the new version it is version Released: 31-08-2010 and Updated: 25-10-2010. When can we expect Balkans languages?

Worse, worse version. How can I change it back?
I'm using it for portuguese typing and it doesn't recognise many words. For example, I try to type 'Carolina' and it's firsts suggestions are: Colina, Carina, Clima, Coluna, Carris, etc. Carolina doesn't even appear as suggestion! In the version before it was the first suggestion, and I haven't changed the way I swyped it.
Even if I try to swype it slowly it doesn't recognize. And this is true for many words. For small words (like 4/5 characters) it seems to be better, but for bigger words it is much worse.
My accurancy setting value has always been 333, but now I tried 1000 and it still hasn't recognized it =(

I just wanted to return to the version before...

finally, the backspace thing solved(using c6 cfw on 5800). now i've upgraded to the latest version.

Felix, the N8 version is already available on Ovi Store, and is the complete version!
This one is for Symbian 5th only. Good job, hope next will be the last one, and will support more languages, like Italian!

Dictionary in PT-BR became very, very incomplete, inconsistent, imprecise and I can't add new words.
