New Year's wellbeing resolution

The door is opening - the High Season of Resolutions is almost here. In case you ever have been considering making changes to your health behavior tomorrow, next week or next year you should join me and act now. Next year is just behind the door. I am going to open that door and make a resolution to start improving my wellbeing on a more permanent basis. 

Wellness Diary

Firstly I am going to stick to my exercise goal – four times a week – more decisively. It does not have to be the same exercises every week, in fact making changes to the program will make it more enjoyable.  There are two key points in my promise – a realistic and concrete goal and enjoyment. To make it more enjoyable I am going to ask my family and friends to join me and try something new. For instance wall climbing.

Secondly I am going to increase my daily steps steadily. I already use the stairs instead of an elevator, but that does not seem to be enough. So I have decided take evening walks back to my schedule. And make the world a better place by discussing different aspects of life with my closest ones. And enjoy my life. Thirdly I am going to stop eating sweets at least for January and after that set targets to my weekly sweets intake with the help of my dear friend Wellness Diary. I must admit that is the hardest part.  At least in the beginning it might not be that enjoyable either.

Why don’t you join me? What changes would improve your wellbeing the most? And what would make these changes enjoyable enough to beat the defeatist attitude fundamentally built into New Year's resolutions?  So that when back in real-life, back at work and back at sitting in a couch watching TV you would not feel like leaving all your good intentions behind.
