Nokia Shoot & Tag beta enhances video capture and playback with automatic scene tagging

Written by Marshall Chang, Nokia Research Center

We invite you to try out Nokia Shoot & Tag beta, a video recording application for Symbian^3 and S60 5th Edition phones that incorporates automatic scene-tagging technology.  When filming videos with Shoot & Tag, the video tagging technology automatically recognizes shifts or changes in the background images being recorded and will tag the change as a new scene or chapter in your video.  After you finish recording, you can quickly browse through your video's scenes by simply clicking on the pre-organized scene frames located on the left side of the screen.

Developed by Nokia Research Center, Beijing. Nokia Shoot & Tag is an evolution of the Nokia Video Cuts gallery application also available here in Nokia Beta Labs.  The team is currently evaluating how to take Nokia Shoot & Tag forward and we would love to hear your thoughts about what you like and where you think we can improve.  If you want to test it out for yourself, please download the application and share with us your feedback.

Problem fixed. Thanks

its a very creative app, im running on my c6 and i enjoy it. The only thing is will be even most useful if the chapters could export with the movie and not just to playback on the phone

@alexhidrobo Thanks for suggestion. This is certainly something we would like to add in the future.

cool, something new for 5ed and even something to be productive with

it is a great application but would be much better when while viewing in normal N8 video folder the tagged option should remain on side of the screen

Hello friends of Nokia Beta Labs.
As a lover and owner of a Nokia N8, come make a request that is not only mine, but several owners N8 here in Brazil.
Due to the focus of the unit to be focused primarily on the quality of your camera in very strange lack of applications written for you dedicated to photography.
We would like very much, for example, an APP Instagran similar to the famous (and made just for Iphones Andriods) for our powerful N8. You bet it would make a huge success. In addition, we would not have to resort to third-party APP for it.
Certainly not lacking for Beta Labs is competencies.
So we are eagerly awaiting.

Grateful

Marco
