New Version Ovi Maps 3.07 for Symbian^3 in Beta Labs!

There’s a new version of Ovi Maps 3.07 for Symbian^3 in Beta Labs ready to download. In this version, we worked on addressing the issues some of you were having with installation, rebooting and widgets doing funky things. It would be great to get your feedback to see if this has helped. Give it a try and let us know what you think!
In case your device reboots at the end of the installation, it would be helpful to know which widgets you had on your home screen before it reboots. Any other details like your phone model, the language on your phone and phone software version would be helpful too. Oh, and you can find out the software version on your phone by typing in *#0000# on the keypad.
The installation log on your phone is also helpful for us to see. It’s located either here c:\data\ovimapsinstaller.txt or here c:\ovimapsinstaller.txt (on your device, not your PC).Then email the file to feedback-ovimaps@nokia.com with the subject line Ovi Maps v3.07 Installation Issues and we’ll take a look at it ASAP.

It cant works in ALL s60v5 device.
Installing at this moment, will keep you informed of progress.

Installation complete, no problems. Had 6 progress-bars, all widgets are still where they were before and working fine (Accuweather-widget and Nokia Internet Radio-widget were giving problems with previous version of 3.07 Beta).
Ovi Maps was started automatically after installation was completed. Still got the network error-message because i'm on WLAN-only. Once this message pop-up dissapears (connection failed, access denied) it connects with WLAN.

Forgot to mention that the problems i've encountered with the "Voice"- and "Home-Location"-settings in previous v.3.07 (wk15) Beta are gone. Both settings were unchanged with wk17-version. Keep up the good work.

I have tried to install the previous version, without any luck. Both OTA and by DL it from here. Still no luck with installing with this version. I have sent you my log file :-(
The version in the download link is dated 14-04-2011. Is that the updated version?
Is the Grid menu available in this version?,

@pauldtroy No, no grid menu in this updated version. Would like to see it back as well but i'm happy with the new widget. The separated apps in v3.07 Beta are giving new possibilities like direct access to one of them. In Nokia Situations settings i've setted "By Car" to launch when i'm driving, it launches automatically when it detects the bluetooth of my in-car sound system wich is better than to launch the Ovi Maps grid menu like it did in v3.06.

@Leobg the new file has "wk17" in it, the one before had "wk15".

I have installed the 3.07 on my N8-00 phone. I have two issues so far to tell.
1. I experienced restart of my phone more than once.
2. When I search an address then I get maybe 4-5 suggestions. If I choose one of the addresses from the search list then the map will show the place. Well so far so good. Now I will come back one step to see the search results. In this stage there is not a button which says “back”. This button exists and its name is “search”. I mean that it is very unfortunate to call “search” I stead of “back”.

This version should be designated as version 3.08, not "3.07 wk17".
These sub-versions of sub-versions of sub-versions are very confusing. Are you afraid that you are going to run out of numbers???
At your current rate of updates, even if you drop the "wk" designations, it will be year 2068 before you get to version 10.00. Hopefully, Nokia's first WP7 phone with Bing Maps will be out by then (although I wouldn't bet on it).

I wish somebody would convert / hack / conjure it to work on 5800 too.

as of now looking good .. but used just for few hours.. only one bug I found.. When you click Feedback,,.. the application get closed in background .. I think It should not.

3weeks ago ive decided to leave my iPhone 3G..and change to N8.
my firmware is ofcourse 014.002. first time ive use ovi maps 3.07 yesterday and it crashed 3 times per hour.. and it still doing that :(
(no other programs are running in the background & only one widget on the home screen different than default is nokia battery monitor)
thx for fixing stabbility
(also helpfull would be a separate selecting streets after selecting citiy like for instance innavigion)
it's not the same without the grid menu please bring it back
I too miss grid menu,prefer previous version,how easy is it to revert?
BTW no issues re installation.
No installation problems, but I had to restart my phone to get maps to go from searching offline to using the internet in online mode. That on top of the 10 minutes spent finding the settings page. Either a full review of menus is required or a button to go back to the grid menu (with settings page).
my concern is, send my location need an internet conection when i recieve from my friend using same ovi maps. last time i use E71 where i send my location to friend and it will open direct to ovi maps. why now need internet conection to open the link. currently i'm using nokia N8. need an update on this concern. i need open link for My location to be free as E71.
luckly i didnt sell it. for send my location i still using my old E71.

constantemente el dispositivo movil n8 envia un mensaje intentando conectarse a internet o wi-fi ¿se debe a la herramienta check de esta version de maps? o alguna otra aplicacion(swype,mobile documents), y como puedo hacer para que ya no envie este mensaje
No installation problems but keep on freezing. Have to restart my phone a lot of times. N8-00 PR1.2, Software version 014.002, Language set 014.002.15.01.
Hi. I like to use the ovi maps 3.07 on my N8 but I have found one problem. Using Internet service I save new way in favorites. I found this way in ordinary regime and didn't found in mode for driver.
