New release of Camera Update for Nokia N8 includes 30fps video recording

We've now published a new release of the Camera Update for Nokia N8 that is configured for 30fps video recording as advertised.  Sorry for the mix-up with the initial release.

tried installing this version on Nokia c6-01. It did not work.

How soon until you release a version of the camera app for other Symbian^3 phones (E7, C7, X7, etc.) with the new menus and 30FPS.

@proloymitra @spanishgringo - Sorry to disappoint you, but the team has stated in the compatibility section of the page: "We will not be releasing similar beta for other products due to the differences in camera hardware."

There is no option to set capture tone off in image mode settings.

Kudos to the Nokia camera team for this quick correction!
The installation doesn't require the earlier update to be uninstalled first by the way.

I know guys due to camera hardware your team cant implement certain camera features update for c6-01/c7/x7 etc
but these devices already can record 720p videos at 25fps so is it not possible to release specific camera update for us with improved camera ui and ability to record video at 720p 30fps?

@slyderage - Settings -> Application manager -> Installed apps -> Long-press Camera app and uninstall. You'll get the default camera after that.

Installation went smoothly on my N8, and I rebooted (8-seconds-boot) as recommended. I am very happy with all the improvements, especially the continuous autofocus. Congrats and Kudos to the development team.

markow76 @ John - Help me...I have install the first update (22-08-2011)but when the second update was release (23-08-2011), so I tried to install the second update. Firstly, I uninstall with this method - Settings -> Application manager -> Installed apps -> Long-press Camera app and uninstall. And I get the default camera after that.

When I want to install the new update (23-08-2011, I get 'Unable to install - component is built in'...So, how I want to fix it..

I'm not sure if any of us noticed this but when i tried to check in yesterday and tapped on the camera button on the check in description page to take a photo, the camera won't take a photo with an error message " photo cannot be added at this time". It only allowed me to add photo from the gallery i.e previously clicked ones. I'm using anna with the latest beta version of the camera update. Tried rebooting the device to see if it was a one off case but does not seem to be one. Any suggestions?

I have problem with recorded video - when play it there is a lag and video stop for a second on every 3-5 seconds. This is only for the first 30 seconds from the begining of the video. I have Symbian Anna 022.014. Before camera update i have no problem with this.

Although the UI looks a bit different, the main elements of this camera update are part of the Belle software update.
