Why some languages available in Nokia Maps are not available in the survey, like catalan?

The UK voice with street names works well for me.
The Homer Simpson voice commands for Tom Tom and Iphone is cool and funny, can we expect our good old buddy on Nokia soon..? Keep Bart Simpson in mind as well..
Survey already taken yesterday. What about Nokia Maps 3.09 beta? I need to plan routes with intermediate points again. And I need to get voice advice via FM Transmitter.

Nobody needs a weatherforcast as part of a navigation system. Renew important core functions.

But the pronunciation of Danish street names are often so far out you cant even recognise it. And YES I know Danish is a weird language, with a load of irregularities.

Hi ! nokia map team.I use drive and map always. I think the old version is good the gps is very exactly ,the new version is not good, it is difficult to catch the gps signal.

Am using nokia n8 silver american variant but after updating to anna the gps does not work but i can lock using network based,maybe if a gps fix is done thats when we can give a complete review.Imagin it gives me approximation of radius of 25km and it will freeze.Can we ve a gps fix and total southern africa maps

I agree that there should be premium sounds like tomtom has.
Voice Navigation? It simply works. I'm using Nokia Maps since it is free in some mobile devices. The german standard female voice is the best so far. Because that girl is loud an has audio frequencies that do not interferer with the car noises I drive.

I would like to suggest that voice control be implemented in the next version of Nokia Maps. It would be extremely useful if (while navigating) I can add waypoints, stop routing, etc.
Are the Nokia maps team even considering such a feature?
Also, can anyone advise me if I can get Nokia Maps to give direction via the built in FM transmitter?

It should be more human like not robot style. There is a rumor that the iphones siri gets compitor from Microsoft.
very nice idea, the routing, i need routing more than weather! and also voice over radio would be good
Nice survey, but I wanted to report, in French :
1. Mispronounced names (Jean Jaurè instead of Jean Jaurès, missing s)
2. Sometimes, Maps shows I should turn left, the arrow shows left and the voice says right...
Drive seems quicker to use selecting destinations than maps. Favourites are better organised
the new maps upgrade has now degraded the performance of maps and gps locks. Its taking a long time for gps locks now, frequently loses connection and also uses a lot of battery compared to earlier.
I hope all these issues will be sorted out in next upgrade and hope the upgrade also comes fast.
LOL, the whole voice for "street names voice" is synthesized? It sounds so natural that it's hard to figure. The "natural voice" without street names sound more fake than the synthesized voice...
Please note I'm comparing

Synthesized, street names voice:
- Could do with very few adjusts to seem perfectly natural (like when saying the word "rua" (street);
- It is more natural and understandable than the "natural" voice. There are no "transitions" between sounds (see Natural voice below).
"Natural" voice:
- Should be more understandable (there's a considerable amount of noise when reproducing the sound on phone speakers);
- Could sound less fake and "exciting" ("OMG! Turn right! That's so cool and exciting!");
- You can notice the transition of sounds (e.g.: from "in 100 meters,[transition] turn right" when reproducing different sounds. (I am being somewhat nit picky here, but the synthesized voice sounds better!).
Will we be forced to buy a seperate navigation software or is there any way to get an update where route planning and drive in landscape will work again?

I'm personaly and my wife are using russian - it is ok.
But once I lost my favorite eanglish voice - "surfer dude".... and can not find it...
is there anydody who still have it? please send me it to my mailbox

gps voice assistance works ok although i had to pay for it because my E90 communicator can not support or use the free ovi maps
How re-install Surfer Dude voice.
Tested with v3.08 11wk41 b02
1) Start Drive application.
2) Just Drive.
3) Select menu (the 3 horisontal lines)
4) Settings
5) Voice guidance.
6) type in "Surfer Dude" in the search bar.
The phone will request download. Accept.
Small download/installation will follow.
That's it.
Please add the ability to input lat/long coirdinated into the maps app. I do a lot if bike riding in the woods,so meetups need coordinates that can be off road

I do not know if this has been removed, but it was possible in 3.06
