We are happy to share release 1.7.3 of Soundtracker Radio for S60 5th edition and S^3, Symbian Anna and Symbian Belle devices and release 2.1.1 for Series 40 devices.
Soundtracker 1.7.3 and 2.1.1 fixes a number of issues signaled to us but the Nokia Beta Labs community. Now we only have one version of Soundtracker for S^3, Symbian Anna and Symbian Belle as well as one version for S60 devices covering both Java Runtime 1.4 and 2.1.
We also included the following fixes and feature enhancements:
S60 5th Edition S^3, Symbian Anna and Symbian Belle (v1.7.3)
- Text in player are not visible for S^3 devices
- Facebook friends invite page locks up the phone
- Twitter friends invite page locks up the phone
- Sign Up bug
- Create Station fix to start music player faster
Series40 (2.1.1)
- performance improvements and bug fixes
We recommend removing any previous build of Soundtracker before installing this new build.

Thanks!
Tried them.
For the S40, the file has been called
Soundtracker_1_7_3_S40.zip
That is a bit confusing as it is described as 2.1.1 above.
On the 1.7.3 for S60v5
The preloading of the next track give smooth and immediate track skips, giving the first track has ran for 15-20 second to the buffer to be in place. Thanks! :-D
Graphics are still messed up during input
Landscape still not supported
Had a random drop-out of the program in the middle of the second track. :-(
Reentering starting a 'station' takes more than a minute (gave up)
The "allow to use positioning data" question appears even after explicitly saying no in settings.
Got an "Appliction error:" and an empty white bar. Pressing "Details" gives a larger empty white box....
Exiting I had 49Mb of free RAM, so that is hardly the issue...
Reentering, it worked smooth. Skipping tracks works better than ever before.
The direction of the on/off sliders under application settings are hard to guess, but I assume the green is the active?? Clicking or swipe in either just swaps
Exited spontaneously after a few minutes... I gave up and tried the S40 version...
PS on the 1.7.3 it is called "My station" without the trailing "s". (It is there in the 2.1.1)
PPS Where did the old-java 1.4 variant for S60v5 go?
On the 2.1.1 for s40 on S60v5
Enter credentials with a N97Mini is a little strange in this version with full screen editing fields, but it DO work. But now clicking on the screen to select an input field does not work. You need the navigation button (or the physical keyboard). Inconvenient not impossible....
Took about 30 seconds to load the first track, and allowed skip after additional 25 seconds only
So 2.1.1 seems better than the 2.1.0, and as good/bad as the 2.0.0 in this aspect.
I like the increased font size. and the better usage of the screen area.
But why do we need the navigation wheel and the "A B C D" on a touch screen, when clicking the screen actually works???. Could we have that as a setting please? (It disappears gracefully when the keyboard is pushed out though)
The current behaviour leaves the screen a bit crowded with the new font, and 60% of the display area wasted in navigation wheel and inactive(!) buttons...
Both
Please add a setting "Auto-resume last station"
So entering Soundtracker starts the music with no further clicks at the station I left - just as (almost?) any physical radio.

S 40, S60 5th edition ... AND WHAT ABOUT S60 3RD??????? Why are these devices left out????? Why?????
@TomVal
Have you tried the so called "S40" version?
It is really a generic Java version. I guess it would work on almost any Nokia phone running Symbian, with or without touch, with or without keyboard. And by the design, I would guess it would work on any screen of 320x240 or above....
...Give it a try. :)
Does this application let people hear the song im playing from my device? ie if i'm playing an obscure Zappa track can other people hear it? do I broadcast? if not why is there only 1 Zappa track? can I add to the so called vast library?
