Universal Search beta trial concluded

Universal Search Beta has been a trial for a one-box search solution, which enables users to easily access all types of content whether it be on the device or in the “cloud”.

We are now concluding the trial, and are very grateful to all Nokia Beta Labs users for the feedback, suggestions and insights on Universal Search. The feedback has enabled us to improve the quality of our in-device search capabilities in our commercial releases of Symbian. Also, you have helped us gain a greater understanding of the potential of providing blended on-line results to users. Though the Universal Search solution will not be commercialized at this point by Nokia, we will continue to enhance a number of the elements of the concept in line with the feedback you have provided us.

Thanks for this app. You can see its legacy in the search on Belle, so it's no surprise that it's not being continued.

One question: I use the Smart Apps and Smart Contacts widgets on my homescreen. They are truly excellent and I would be lost without them. Is there any plan to release them individually?

whats about searching emails? Really not working until now???
