Hi,
You remember the Situations app for Nokia phones? The mobile application that enables you to set your device to be silent when you are sleeping, not to disturb you when you are in a business meeting, have weather forecast ready for you in the morning, or have a check-in app at your fingertips when you are at your favorite rendezvous.
Situations ties your device more into your life by sensing the situation you’ve set. It adapts to situations based on Time, Calendar event, available Connectivity or Location.
Pastilli Labs avoin yhtiö, founded by two core members behind the popular Nokia Situations, has developed a new version of the application. The company has finalized spin-off negotiations with Nokia and is proud to announce that the new improved application is now available for wide range of Nokia devices running Belle software.
You can download Situations to your Nokia Belle device from Nokia Store (€0.99).
The application has gone through number of improvements:
- UI is totally new and intuitive for easy definition of your situations
- Location can be set using maps based UI
- Time condition allows now multiple schedules with selection of weekdays
- Improved calendar condition includes filters based on keyword, only alarmed events or only recurring events
- Bluetooth and WiFi conditions are redesigned to be more reliable
- Profile can be used in multiple situations and the use of Power Save mode and SMS reply are improved and more reliable

Now you can really have the ‘smart’ in your smart phone. With Situations your phone becomes your companion handling those everyday actions for you.

Never heard of a Nokia Betalabs app turning into a paid app.
Great to know that. I don't mind if it has gone paid. At least we can expect better things now.
On that note, could we have a Meego-Harmattan port, pretty much please? Keeping up the spirit of Qt?
Nokia just gave the rights of the app for the developers who apparently don't work for Nokia anymore. The same way Sportstracker developers got rights to Sportstracker.
After that it's up to them how they plan on monetising the program.
if you want something similar for N9 I suggest using profilematic, which is a free app. Maybe PL and profilematic dev can do some co-operation as most/some features overlap nicely :)
Also I congratulate Pastillilabs for getting a new version out and hopefully you will keep improving it in the future (and that people buy it from the store.)
Hi guys! I still have Beta Labs Situations running in my N8-Belle. Is it and the new one compatibles? Will it be upgradeable in the store? Or I'll have to re-download -and pay-? Thanks!!
AWESOME! is all i have to say. The new Qt interface looks so awesome. So many new features introduced in this new version. Great to see it back now. Hopefully now we will see a MeeGo port of this app.
Highly Recommended! A Must Buy!!
Congrats for you new venture! (and the signoff packages, I presume ;) Let's hope these new agile spinoffs can react to user feedback faster than their former mother company did.
Super! Please update also Nokia Bubbles.
Congratulation Pastillilabs !!!
Great update !!! I like it very much. It works better because I can select different hours for each day of the week : exactly what I wanted. It will be perfect when I will be able to choose a different theme for each situation as I could with Nokia Situations from the Betalabs (sorry for my english...)
And for another update I will be very pleased when I'll have again the widget Notifications !!!
NaniN95 - The new Situations app is published by Pastilli Labs and you need to download it from Store if you want to use it. You will not receive any updates to the old Nokia Situations any more.

I like the new interface, both usability and the looks. Great it is independent from my profiles. Giving it test ride.
Si non confectus, non reficiat.
why do you not support Symbian Anna any more!? I really like the situations-software and was looking forward to the improvements. But now I have to install the FIRST (old) version 206 again. The 251 is not stable anyway. And no, I will NOT upgrade to Symbian-Bell due to several reasons and issues. (E7-00)
Two comments:
1) From feedback at Nokia Store, it seems that location based on GSM tower nearby is no longer available? Please bring this back! I use it all the time with the beta version and would not upgrade until this becomes available.
2) I hope you are aware or the "Tasker" app for Android. If not, I suggest to take a look to get ideas on where to develop this app further.
UNBELIEVABLE!!! We all here test the Beta Labs apps and now we have to pay for an app that NOKIA gave it (after foundation) to an external collaborator, to sell it!
I think it is time to buy an Adroid phone!
Great app! Is it ever coming to the N9? The only alternative - Profilematic - misses some key features that Situations has.
Btw. I don't mind paying for a quality app.
holle how are used givet for
nokia n96
OK so I paid (sigh) but it's definately better than first issue. However, seems not to work when I set BOTH a time schedule AND a location. As soon as I remove the location the automation works again. Thoughts anyone? (PS: Running it on the SPB Mobile shell.)
Toomas3 - it is available, just don't check box "use GPS" in Location section.
Is there any way to enable situation manually (without entering the app of course) - some kind of widget maybe? In "old" Situations it was just as easy as changing profile. Sometimes I want to use some features (e.g. SMS answering, profile change) in places, where automation is not possible (like in a car, where is no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth network).
I liked the older one much better, in contradiction to most others. The older version changed the Themes also with the profiles and remembered them. The old version had GSM Cell activation, this one uses location (gps antenna and power consumption). Is there a way to get the old one back?
paid application? Is this the results of nokia failure?
The new version doesn't support my Nokia e72. Is there somewhere still the download from the old one? Or will the new one also support the "old" phones??
Yeah, great.. I've paid for new app to give it a try, but I had to uninstall it. Now I can't download it any more from Nokia Store, Nokia care does not care (I've reported it few times). And now, I can't even install old Nokia Situations Beta any more - certificate expired.
Thank you Nokia! You're doing best to make me leave you for good after many years. Bye.
to sebabar: if u encountered certificate expired try to change you date way back when the application still working, until it installs properly, i hope it'll helps u...nokia c7

1. I do not agree to pay for something I tested for free for Nokia.
2. Why it does not come to older phones like E52?
3. Android rulez.
I'm totally disapointed. I wouldnt mind to paid for it. But the one I had im my phone stopped working and now its not compatible with it. I have a NOKIA X6.
I really got used to all the available functions, and now on I simply miss all the simple things that used to do for me. :(

Not a good solution, it does not work like the beta. The old version of the GSM cells were collected, when this option is chosen. Such as subway, so it automatically switches to operating mode is very loud, and it was left to the previously used mode.
I would ask that this opportunity again.
Thank you.

Car without Bluetooth network? The hands-free, the headsets and some car stereo bluetooth connection to communicate with the phone.
