New beta trial: Webview widget for Nokia Belle

Today we are opening a new beta trial for the Webview widget for Nokia Belle. The Webview widget allows you to have up-to-date web content directly on your homescreen.

Feedback requested

We are especially interested to hear how you see the changing page content affecting usability of this widget. The Webview widget works best in web pages where the content location does not change on reloads. 

We would also welcome examples of websites where the Webview widget is especially useful for you.

Please send your feedback on the widget by the end of February 2013. The feedback will be used when making decisions of possible commercial launches.

How to use

• Download the widget (requires signing in)
• Add widget, navigate to url and select view (pan, pinch-zoom), press accept
• Automatic background reload starts whenever the homescreen with widget comes visible
• Change view by long-press & tap icon on left-bottom corner
• Launch on browser by cliking the widget
