We'll tell you all about Nokia Beta Labs in the About page.

These symbols represent the technical maturity of the applications. Green means it sould already work fairly well, while still not the quality you would expect from a commercial product. Yellow means you really need to tolerate bugs and other shortcomings to enjoy trying a product of this technical maturity. Red symbol means it is a very early release. Do not try products with a red symbol unless you know what you are doing. Always make backups!
Current betas are the most important betas here at Beta Labs. Current betas are the ones that are still in development and to which you can make the biggest difference by contributing. To have a beta in a "current" state means feedback is welcome and can lead to changes in the beta.
Graduated betas are those that have previously been in Beta Labs, but which have evolved enough to graduate from beta stage to commercial offering. Sometimes this means the beta is offered on its own (like Maps), other times the functionality of the beta is incorporated into another product (like Communication Center) and sometimes the functionality has made its way all the way into the firmware (like Location Tagger). As a rule of thumb, Beta Labs is no longer the channel to give feedback for graduated betas.
Archived betas are those that we have tried here at Beta Labs, but which - for some reason - did not graduate. The development regarding archived betas is stopped and feedback is no longer actively listened to.

You can now write reviews of the applications. To do this, use the
button in the forum. When you write a review, you can give 1-5 stars for the application you are reviewing. These stars show up in the forum and they are also used to calculate the averages on the front page. 0 stars (

) are omitted from the average calculation, since not clicking any star is mostly unintentional.
Sorry, but the core Beta Labs team does not develope anything really. We are a very small team and merely a channel for the actual development teams to conduct beta trialling. We also do not accept ideas, since we do not have the capability to respond to them.
Nokia Beta Labs does not sell Nokia devices. Therefore, we do not have any price information on the site either. For online shopping, see here.
The Forum Nokia pages have a comprehensive listing of the Nokia devices and their specifications. You can check the OS versions and other phone model related information there.
We encourage you to discuss in the public forums if possible. Beta Labs has its own forum section, which is regularly read by Tommi and Ilkka. If you insist, you can also contact us by email.
