Discussion for Nokia Photo Browser

Bug(?)

Can someone confirm this whether it is a bug or not ?

I was having NPB loading pictures and during this time I needed to check one thing, so I went back to Application menu with the white button. After this I went back to the NPB and those pictures that were loaded before put the app to background now appears blank. Anyway to refresh the database ?

Hi,

If the blank boxes start showing the image again as you move into those, it is not a bug. It happens because of the memory saving scheme while NPB runs in the background.

Hi Kozzi,
did you mean that those pictures were blank when coming back to NPB but not loaded at all after that? If pictures were loaded again, then it is memory saving feature.

So here is how it went: - I

So here is how it went:
- I started the app, it started to load pictures and about 20 of them appeared as thumbnails.
- I needed something so I went back to applications
- after this back to Photo Browser. Those 'already' loaded pictures now appear in gray thumbnails and those that were gray before appear normal (loaded).

I wasn't able to view those even in double-tap mode, so I went back to File Manager, moved files around and restart the app to refresh the database.

In fact, I experienced

In fact, I experienced nearly the same, but I did not need to restart.
The gray thumbnails were spread irregularily through the lines of pics, so I played around shooting all the pics from left to right to left.
The gray thumbs disapeared pic by pic, allthough sometimes a pics turned grey again.
After about two minutes all pics were loaded correctly.

I am not sure if it occured after adding some pics or not..

Addon to my last post:

I could accidently repeat it twice. I did not add or change any pictures.
It seems to be RAM or db issue. Normally NPB everytime needs some seconds to build thumbs. Allways in sequence.
In this two cases it built thumbs quite unsorted. Some pics need a little longer to turn from grey to pic.
Whole proceedure needs aprox. 1 minute.
I have about 150 pictures sized between 400kb an 2,5mb.
