Suggestion for Nokia Beta Labs

The prototype NPB survey

Liking the idea of application surveys, but I have a couple of thoughts/suggestions.

1) Add a pick list either for the operating system version (S60 . . . .) or the phone model to better enable yourselves to categories the user responses.

2) Add some sort of return to Betalabs link / button to the comlpetion screen.

Nice on guys,

Will see what I can do

1) We'd like to use the same survey tool for all the betas here (online services, pc/mac software, java and symbian applications etc), so I try not to have too much customization on the tool. The idea is to have it as generic as possible so that we can compare the results across all betas (at some point at least). So even though I agree such an option to choose the operating system would be very valuable in the case of Photo Browser, it would add another customization to the survey that will make things on the technical and reporting side a bit messy.

2) I'll see what I can do about this. We're using SurveyGizmo and I'm not sure how this would work, but I'll take a look at it.

I can see your issue with (1) but. . .

I can see your issue with (1) but most Betalabs apps are cross platform/ S60 operating system and as such I would have thought this would be ov use for most apps. I do however accept that not all apps support all platforms/ S60 Operating Systems, but all options could remain. In this way if someone states they have a problem and then list a non supported platform / S60 Operating System there comment could be discounted.

Just a though.

You have a point

It could be that the user managed to install the software, eventhough it wasn't intended for their platform yet... So I agree this is valuable data and I shall discuss with our team and see what their thoughts are. Adding this wouldn't take much time or effort at least.
