I'd like to see a bit more

I'd like to see a bit more organization in the forum. For instance, threads like this should be in a 'Lounge' area or similar, and the Betas should be organized better, rather than simply alphabetical.

Perhaps by the last time they were updated (the actual beta) or have the latest conversations (forum postings) listed first? Another suggestion would be perhaps to organize the betas by the platform they're designed for? S40, S60, Maemo, Web? Could also be the 'class' they're in (Navigation, Communication, Multimedia, etc)

Good point, something to think about

Thanks rcadden, good point about a organizing the forum a bit better. We had planned to sort the forum topics by latest activity by default. That way, we could always show the most interesting in the first view. Changing the sorting this way is one of the first things I will try to get done early in January. By the way, you can actually sort the forum differently, the mouse cursor just doesn't change and we don't have any indication to show how the sorting is done at any time. Try it out by clicking the column headers (I know this needs to be improved)

rate this beta

I really don't think you guys should have a rate this beta with starts feature. You know those angry comments that appear once in a while with nothing but "boo hoo it doesn't work on my phone"? Now it requires even less effort to complain, and the stars rating will be seen by other users. Leading to people not having confidence in Beta Labs.

Maybe this could be a cold shower for those users, make clear that the apps are beta. But I still think this will uh, *tarnish* the good Beta Labs image.

ps. just noticed you support html instead of bbcode in this forum, awesome :P

Also, make a preference to see all subforums at once, I don't want to have to skip to the 3rd page to see maps discussion. (hope I made sense :P)
