Sadly, no N79 support.
Well, now that I've upgraded my handset from E61 to N79 I can no longer test this app. Too bad.
Fring and Nimbuzz work well on my N79, providing loads of messaging features including SIP calling. I currently prefer Nimbuzz, making and receiving Gizmo calls with no problems.
Native VoIP provisioning on my N79 also works well in the same WLAN environments where my E61 would refuse to register properly. The only VoIP connectivity issue I have to figure out with my N79 is Gizmo presence; No one can see that I'm available through Gizmos servers.
