I realise this is more of a "would be nice if" than a "must have", but would be helpful if a "Mark All Read" were added to each App Forum on the main Forum Page:

This would save me having to click on each forum I cannot comment on due to S60 version limitations to click on "Mark All Read" at this level in order to easily identify what threads I could still comment on.

Since there are plans to implement a kind of "My Applications" list at some point, would you prefer if there was an option to follow new posts of "My Applications" only? Or "Mark all read outside My Applications" or something?
I would guess adding the button you suggest is not that big of a deal from a development perspective, but rather about where to put it visually and keeping the forum view simple.
And don't get me wrong, at the end of the day, I feel it greatly serves the benefit of the community to support active individuals such as yourself to easily follow the relevant stuff. Let's think about this a bit further, what is it that we are really trying to accomplish here and how would we achieve it ideally?

That sounds great. The My Applications idea is perfect. To a degree we may want both "Follow My Applications" and "Mark all read outside my application". May be of use to see "My Applications" button and "Other Applications" button. This way you can easily check forums for apps you don't have in "My Applications", but are contemplating adding.
