email.nokia.com has v1.1,

email.nokia.com has v1.1, which is not allowing me to set up Nokia Messaging for some strange reason. Only adds the email accounts to the Messaging client of the phone. So am looking for v1 to see if it works.

I ended up setting mine up on the website via PC. This seemed to be the most stable method.

Ended up switching to the System SEVEN BETA Trial for the moment as I keep having to remove adn re-install Nokia Messaging every few days, often but not always after installing a new application on my phone. The problem is I rely on the "@" symbol appearing and this part of the interface keeps dying. Sometimes it starts only appearing for certain accounts and other times it stops appearing at all. Haven't witnessed this problem yet with System SEVEN and it builds itself into the defaul Nokia Messagins application.

If Nokia can sort my problem out I will be more than happy to move back to Nokia Messaging, but in the meantime I continue using System SEVEN.

I think the @ symbol is an issue with fp1 devices, as i noticed it MUCH more problematic than on a fp2. Fp2 its been just rare, but still happens at times.

@snowy Will try installing

@snowy
Will try installing it once in the offline mode, though i have also tried installing it after deleing all the WAP access points.

The problem is that it is not even prompting me to enter to username or password. It directly starts the Email Setup wizard, which configures the accounts in the default messaging client.

@alsiladka: Try this

Try this:

Go to the email.nokia.com website from your PC.
Log into the website using your Nokia Messaging Username and Password.
Click on install (right hand side of page)
Follow the instructions.
You will receive two sms messages.
One will have a link ending with OTA (Do not use this one - It does not ask for Password - Just new setup)
The other will have link ending in a text string. - USE THIS ONE. (This one will ask for your password and will install the mail accounts you haev set-up in you account (showing on the website))

Here's what i found out to

Here's what i found out to start the SMS Provisioning automatically. Install the client, and then send the SMS from the site. The SMS Provisioning step starts automatically. But i was still not able to activate it as the wizard would keep on using my WAP data plans only, wouldn't use my WiFi plans.

Finally, i came to know of a ZERO rental data plan for full fledged internet on my carrier. Activated it, and successfully activated Nokia Messaging. Enjoying Nokia Messaging with the Active Standby plugin on the N85 :D
