This has often been requested. I don't think i need to explain the reasons or the why this needs to be implemented. Please support this feature. It is the betalabs which should set a precedent by making use of the feature. Hoping to see it on the new site.

One of its best uses is what i created this topic for! Simply point the camera to the code, and your phone will open the application's webpage from where you can download the app in a jiffy. No more typing the long URLs for the pages!

Love this idea. Wouldn't have to keep pointing my phone at Nokia Beta Labs each time I find an update or new app via my PC.
How plausible would an sms to phone option be on the website aswell for people without barcode readers on their phone.

Hey Illka, this shouldn't require that much? We have probably 2 or 3 releases per month. Even if someone has to make the barcode manually from Nokia's site and put up the image, it can surely be done!

Alright. I put up an ugly link to a barcode image (did not want to embed the barcode image as it is not used by so many. an ugly link will do for now. Later on I'll come up with a more elegant solution). And I'll try to remember to include the barcode link on new betas as well until we get this automatic. Check out Nokia Magnifier for example. An extra mouse click is anyday preffered to typying out the entire link on the phone or downloading the setup file and transferring it to the phone.
