Bugreport for Ovi Contacts

Not functional when Windows Live is installed

I have installed both Contacts on Ovi as well as Windows Live on my N82 and for some reason, when I try and open Contact on Ovi, it refuses to. Before I installed Windows Live, Contacts on Ovi worked fine. After installing Windows Live, I encountered this problem. The Windows Live works fine though. I tried uninstalling and installing them both. Contacts on Ovi first, then Windows Live, as well as the other way around. Still, the Contacts on Ovi doesn't seem to work. What solution is there to my problem?

Reinstall the Ovi Contacts

Reinstall the Ovi Contacts support package.

Still no change

I tried that before, it didn't work. I just tried it again and no change. After installation, when I enter the Downloads, I still see the gray phone figure on the Ovi Contacts figure.

Reinstall everything

I had the same problem, and I eventually fixed it by first uninstalling everything - Windows Live, Ovi Contacts and also the Web Services support package. Then I install Windows live first. When that's done go to app manager and check which Web services support package version you have. It should be version 1.x

Now install Ovi Contacts (make sure you install the latest version that has the web services support package version 2.x). First install the support package, and then the client. It will probably ask you if you want to replace the support package from 1.x to 2.x, just select yes. After this is done you're good to go! I use a Nokia N79 20.175
