I tried it with my Nokia N95 8GB few facts I found
1)it requires lot of light to see properly
2) not clear at all (the edges of fonts )
3)slow to detect and magnify
Practically cannot use as a magnifier ,people will smile at you as you take more time to magnify something ...!

1) Digital cameras are known to be used in good light conditions. That means more light, more quality.
2) Yes, the edge of the fonts may be aliased, specially on low light conditions. The application is meant to improve readability on everyday life situations. If you need sharp-edged close-up "leg-of-mosquitoes" pictures, I suggest you get a macro-lensed bigger camera.
3) The process to magnify is as fast as getting the focus done. The more you use the application, you will get used to the distances that are optimal from the phone to the object to be magnified.
