You're the first one to report this, so this is a very weird bug. I am really sorry about this. I cannot promise a very rapid solution to this (there just aren't resources), but I will ask the guys developing the system to look into it as soon as they can. Again, so sorry for this. Hopefully this will be found and fixed soon!

Hey ilkka, this is a beta release and needs to be tested. Such one off errors are expected. Dont be sorry, everythings cool; well as long it is sorted out sooner or later ;)

Such bugs are very high on our priority lists, so yes, they will be fixed at some point. Probably sooner than later. Thanks for understandin though!

The profile data doesn't reset anymore at login time. Still would like to receive reports if the validation is lost as this is most propably a separate issue.

I think this issue is still there, I was trying to add new pic of mine, but when i browse the path and click update, it doesn't take new pic.

Also I tried to delete current pic and upload new, then also new pic is not being taken.

Surprise is that, I still see deleted pic as avatar !!! means it doesn't get deleted at all.

I was trying to update profile as I got selected Contributor of the Month.

Please have a look again.

Do you get a red error box after submitting? Or do you get a success-message on top of the profile page.

Does this happen only with a certain image you are trying to upload? If you can try another image to see if something fails with the certain image file. This should give an error anyway.

The new image will have the same file name as the old one so you might need to move to a new page or reload the profile page to see the change. I'll try to see if we can do something about that.

I tried to update my profile picture yesterday night and it was not updating, i get message "The changes have been saved." and still see same picture.

But today i logged in again and i was able to see picture change.

I tried to update picture again and got same issue, though it gives success message , it is not able to do any change.

Strange thing is that I click on delete picture and update, then log off and login , Now I can see my picture still in profile. It doesnt get deleted.

I am getting this situation for all pictures which i tried, I confirmed that images are in valid size,spec.

Also I tried renaming names, but that also didnt help.

Rather than adding a new thread I thought I'd tag on the end of this one.

Recently decided to replace the standard "Biggles" Avatar with something a litttle more personal. When I used a cropped image from a jpg I took with my N95 8Gb it displayed with a severe red tinge. Thsi was corrected when I converted teh image to a png. Just thought I'd mention this.

I guess some updates to Betalabs site are going on.

I saw different layout when you click on Profile name. I tried to delete profile image and got following error.

"warning: unlink(files/pictures/picture-2003.jpg) [function.unlink]: Permission denied in /var/www/betalabs.nokia.com/includes/file.inc on line 469."

Then when I am trying to upload new photo , I get following error.

"The selected file /tmp/tmp_7hcv35 could not be uploaded, because the destination files/pictures/picture-2003.jpg is not properly configured.
Failed to upload the picture image; the pictures directory doesn't exist or is not writable."

Basically I am not able to update anything in my profile, even Timezone.
